Raffles Seychelles

I decided to stay at the Raffles Hotel because on my last trip to Seychelles I wanted to visit 3 hotels and spend time on each island. For the selection on Praslin Island, there were: Constance Lemuria and Raffles. Raffles was chosen due to having a plunge pool in the villa. Generally, the resort is very crowded in terms of the number of villas and guests. Despite the fact that the service try their best, I cannot rate anyone high except the main manager of the resort - Salwa Razzouk. But to start with - the location of the resort I count 6/10, the quality of the villas: 7/10 - they are not quite as luxurious as the Anantara Maia or Six senses or Four Seasons villas. The plunge pool in the villa is very small. Minimum size beach - one of the worst in Seychelles I've ever seen - 6/10. Unfortunately, the food also disappointed very much - I completely do not recommend "Theme food nights" - the quality of the food served is below criticism - generally the food in this hotel was at the level of a 3-star hotel in Egypt (I have never been to such a hotel). place 7/10, we will probably not come back to this place, the last hotel I have to see on this island is Lemuria - we have already been Chateau Des Feueiles.

Loved the Room view with Mountains sea and plants. It was awesome place to stay. Food was so tasty. Staff here were super awesome. Assistant manager and chef made our Anniversary Dinner very special with arrangements near rock and sea. It was most memorable moments of our life under full moon.

We chose a villa with private pool : just the dream. Everything is just perfect: from the welcome to the quality of the room, through the restaurants (several, different styles), the location in front of a beautiful bay. Easy to reach from the boat service (prefer the helico if you don't like the bumpy sea ...). With the type of price you pay, you expect this to be perfect : and it is ...

Perfect: fantastic breakfast with sparkling wine and a wonderful view over the sea and islands - if you sit outside which we did almost every day. Surprise: great with the small evening boxes left in the room which contained local spices, nuts and other good stuff. Great beach days: ice water and local homemade refreshments served at the beach. Could be better: alcohol princes in the upper end. Tip: Calculate your price for premium wine using a smaller profit margin than for cheaper wines. Not good: we got a bungalow close to main building and the noise from the generator was terrible. With the high price the hotel charge for a night this is really not acceptable - get it fixed asap!! Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday great.

This was our second visit to Raffles and we were once again not disappointed. From arrival to departure we were looked after superbly by the whole team. The only slight disappointment was the villa which was not as elevated as last time we visited. We had booked a panoramic pool villa and assumed these were all on the top level of the resort but we were one level down. Although we still had a fantastic panoramic view we did not have the privacy we had last visit when we were on the top level. We had a butler this visit (Leon) who checked on us regularly and organised requests effectively and efficiently. We were hoping to have dinner on the beach for my birthday but it was fully booked, however there was a cancellation on the day and Leon contacted us and arranged everything efficiently. We also were gifted a sundowner by the resort for my birthday. I though it would just be a cocktail on the beach, but was instead a trip to Anse Lazio for sunset by private car with champagne and canapes. My wife said she felt like royalty! A special mention to Suman (sorry if I've spelled that incorectly) who looked after us on the beach and also the driver who took us there (didn't get his name I'm afraid!). Special mention must also go to Angelina at breakfast who remembered our villa number after the first day, greeted us with a smile every morning and got us one of the best tables with a view out over the sea to Curieuse. There were also many buggy drivers who were friendly, chatty and happy to talk and seem genuinely interested in our stay. We never had to wait longer than three or four minutes for a buggy which is a bonus when standing out in the sun!
