The hosts were extremely accommodating and all our needs were met. Advice on where to dine, what to visit and travel route suggestions were highly appreciated. Our breakfast was delicious and most of the products locally sourced and prepared by Leonard. All the facilities were to our total satisfaction and we would not hesitate to visit again.

This is the only place that I will stay in when I am in the area. Where else can you have homemade bread, homemade butter, and homemade jams as part of a beautiful breakfast in a beautiful setting? The rooms are beautifully appointed with everything you need. The garden is the epitome of tranquility with a beautiful pool to cool down in. Perfectly situated so that you can visit all the major restaurants in the area without the need to drive. Thanks, Leonard and Neil...I will be back. Maybe for more than 3 days next time!

Stunning is the only word to describe this gem in the Klein Karoo. The hosts made every effort to make our stay welcome, enjoyable and comfortable. The garden and pool area is superb, with birds chirping as a bonus. A great guest house to relax and on top of it to enjoy a great breakfast freshly prepared by our hosts.

This guest house was a real find. Leonard, our main host, was charming and welcoming. The place is full of charm with its traditional architecture, a lovely secluded garden and a refreshing swimming pool. Breakfasts are delicious particularly the fruit salads. Prince Albert is also a joy full of lovely people and a fascinating history, plus local action to address the deep inequalities. It even has an annual jazz festival in May so book now!

A well run comfortable guest house, all guests needs have been well considered and catered for. Quality furniture and fittings add to a rustic, authentic and historical building. Great central location, Leonard’s local recommendations are always spot on, we look forward to returning soon.

We had the most amazing time at the Onse Rus, a truly beautiful Thatched Guest House on The Main Street. Our room was spotless, tastefully decorate, and the bed was super comfy. Leonard, and Neil were the perfect hosts, catering for our every need, making restaurant reservations, giving us useful information, and preparing scrumptious breakfasts. The whole ambiance of the place made us so relaxed. We intend to return again next January, and stay a few days longer.

Absolutely first class accommodation, location, garden, swimming pool, food, and attention from the host! We loved the ambience, and the relaxation in the greenery around the pool. The breakfast was exceptional, with home- and locally-made provisions, presented on the Cape Dutch stoep. All our future Prince Albert stays will be here, if possible! Thank you, Leonard!

We stayed one night at Onse Run Guest House in early February. It was lovely. Beautiful rooms, lovely garden, very welcoming and friendly host who gave us guidance about where to eat and what to see - and a great breakfast by the pool.

This was a short getaway down memory lane for my sister who used to own a house in Port Alfred and for me to visit the inspiring Karoo Donkey Sanctuary. All in all a very pleasant stay and the accommodation was comfortable and relaxing.
