MClub Budoni

We had a very pleasant holiday at MCLUB Budoni. We loved our room, very well equipped with air conditioning, comfy bed and one extra sofa, perfect if you have a kid! The resort is just in front of a beach with close distance from the rooms but also a swimming pool, if you prefer to be closer to the resort’s activities. My partner is French and had a chance to take part in the many diverse sports activities with very professional animation in place & in different languages! The staff was amazing, both at the reception but also as part of the animation and we were very happy to find a warm atmosphere and very helpful people, always attentive to clients’ needs and questions. Among the activities we loved more AQUA GYM AND PÉTANQUE! We missed a cooking activity but we promised ourselves to have it next year! If interested, the resort provides also some beautiful excursions across the North of Sardinia or if more independent, it is very easy to rent a car inside the resort, with a very proactive and professional team always present and helpful. Cherry on the cake- an amazing massage by a lovely beautician who helped a very uneasy pain on my neck! We will definitely come back next year!

We came here for a special family trip away. We booked a family superior room for a 16 yr old and 4 yr old, husband and myself. The room was small, definitely not enough space for 4 people. there was a sofa bed for one teenager and my child had the small pull-out bed. There was no coffee table or lounge area and for the price we paid we were disappointed. It did have a large wardrobe, chest of drawers which were of a substantial size thankfully but you couldn't swing a cat in the room. pictures to follow. My parents in the room next door had the same sized room even though they paid for a standard double. Every day our air conditioning stopped working so we reported it and were told "it's ok, it's ok. We waited days for maintenance guy to come to take a look. He tried but nothing was resolved. I spoke to the team about upgrading to fully inclusive as the hotel is remote the transport is not great and when it is 37 degrees you can't drag a 4 year old to walk to find restaurants. At this point i ended up in tears as no one seemed to listen. They gave me a price of 400 euros to go from bed and breakfast to all-inclusive for the remainder of holiday then the price went to 810 euros as they made a mistake but did not say so. I was livid. The manager did let us eat in the restaurant for half price that lunch which helped but after that i did not want to spend another penny. Breakfast is ok but basic - no fresh melon just oranges, kiwis, pears that are not ripe, scrambled eggs that are runny, toast , boiled eggs , fried eggs bacon. No fresh orange juice just cartons. Plenty of fresh bread, croissants, and pastries some not great. Coffee- Nescafe instant machine- Hey THOUGHT WE WERE IN ITALY BEST COFFEE IN THE WORLD? I was assured the air conditioning would be fixed. The maintenance guy came it worked. The next day we found a pizza restaurant closeby and on our way back to the room were greeted with NO ELECTRICITY AT ALL. We had to beg someone to help us as there was no one on the front desk. Eventually after complaining on the phone to jet2 we got some help. It worked so we thought. Then an hour later the air con went off unless we kept pressing reset it wouldn't come on and even then it stayed on for 2 minutes. IT WAS EXTREMENLY HOT and we spent the night putting wet towels over us to keep cool. Another trip to reception the next morning to try to sort out and they kept saying sorry we will sort! Both my husband and I said NO we need a new room this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel . Half a day later we got a new room. Thank goodness the air con worked. This hotel is aimed at French or Italians and it would be good to speak in either one of these languages or it can be a struggle to communicate. The children’s pool was green it hardly got cleaned not like the main pool. We walked past the beautiful kids area Aqualand and it was not finished!! My boy said Mummy can we go on that every time we walked past it. Why not cover it if not in use?

My wife, 8-year-old daughter and I had a great week in beautiful Sardinia staying at MClub Budoni. Our superior, quadruple room had a king size bed and a sofa bed for one, which was fine for the 3 of us, but I think would have been too small for a family of 4. The room was clean (and cleaned every day) and functional and we had a lovely, little verandah with a table and a couple of chairs. It also had good air conditioning. The main light and one of the bedside lamps were not working, which we reported to Reception on arrival and each morning and afternoon for the next couple of days. Every time we were told that they would be fixed within a few hours, but unfortunately, they weren’t. We asked to speak to the Manager and David and his assistant manager came out and were extremely apologetic. They offered to change our room as well as have a drink at the bar. The electrician came the next day and fixed the lights, so all was good. The resort is at Agrustos, which is around 3.5km from Budoni and I believe there are no taxis based in Budoni. I assume that if you order a taxi from the resort, the cab would charge from their base to ClubM and then to the destination, hence why it is so expensive. Unless you are going to stay on the resort the whole time and have your meals there as well, then I suggest renting a car. You can rent at the resort, but it was significantly cheaper for us to do so from the airport. The weather was beautiful (35C+ each day) and there is a small beach at the end of the resort. ClubM guests have free access to sun loungers (front row is payable) as well as kayaks and paddle boards. The pool is lovely and there is also a splash park for the small kids. We went full board and the food was fine. Something to potentially bear in mind is that the evening meal was served from 8pm, which was quite late for our daughter, who is used to eating around 6.30pm. The resort caters mainly to Italian and French guests and understandably the entertainment is provided in those languages. In the week that we went, there was only one other British family and I think it’s fair to say our understanding of French / Italian was limited. However, the staff and other guest made us feel most welcome and where possible translated for us. Therefore, we were able to participate in the daily evening entertainment (Kids mini disco, Quiz, Karaoke etc), which we really enjoyed. Our daughter didn’t attend the kids club as she wanted to spend as much time as possible in the pool or at the table football. We also hired a car and visited San Teodoro, Sassari, Algerho and Golfo Aranci, from where we went on an excellent snorkelling and dolphin-viewing boat trip. The “Animation” Staff were really friendly and helpful and a special thanks to Jack, Claudio and Guilia, who were excellent and kept us entertained and informed.

They seem to be making great efforts after some tough reviews. Just arrived and it’s super clean and staff are going out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our first day has been fantastic. Facilities look great, beach is nice and the kids are super excited ….

We've just returned from an excellent family holiday and were so pleasantly surprised by the hotel and its facilities. Our young children loved the kids club and evening entertainment, pools, splash park and easy access to the beach. Staff were helpful and friendly- big thanks to Alessia and Linda at the kids club, and to Hamza on the front desk. We hired a car as taxis were extortionate (30 euros for a 5 minute drive to Budoni). The island is beautiful and we really did have a great time!

Absolutely loved our week. So friendly and welcoming. Accommodation really good as well A booking to go back next year!

We are a family of 4, two boys ages 14 and 12. We stopped on a bed and breakfast basis. Our arrival was delayed due to easyJet, this meant by the time we landed just after midnight, on Sunday morning, all car hire desks were closed. No public transport, just a 2.5 hour wait for taxis at the airport. Worth considering if taking evening flights. It was not good. We rang the hotel who reassured us they have our booking and the desk is open 24 hours so we can check in as soon as we arrive. We were met by a very friendly night guard who showed us immediately to our room. The room was a superior quad. It was very small. However it was very clean and comfortable with good aircon. Bathroom looked like it was newly refurbished. Room cleaned daily, fresh towels. The hotel is not near any shops / restaurants. Finding ourself without car hire due to the delayed flight meant we struggled the 1st day (we couldn’t get car hire on our 1st day as it was a Sunday and no where local was open). The hotel shop only sells crisps. I ordered a non-alcoholic kids cocktail from the pool bar. It had pineapple juice and strawberry syrup in, it was tiny, less than half a pint - cost €9! We didn’t order another drink from the bar. To have a buffet lunch in the hotel restaurant it was €30 per person. Decided not to pay €120 for a family lunch. There is only a buffet restaurant at the hotel, the pizzeria is not yet open. There are a couple of snack bars on the beach, they are not great but did the job. There is a small food shop and a very nice pizzeria a good 10-15 min walk in the next small village. Not ideal to be walking this in the heat - no shade along the route. The pool area was lovely and clean. The children’s pool did not look very inviting though. The sides looked brown. Plenty of sun beds and very little reserving of beds which was great. There is a padle court, tennis court, 2x table tennis tables and boules - all free to use. The entertainment team always had something going on, it was mainly geared for French / Italian speaking guests but we certainly did not feel left out. They were all very friendly. There was a kids splash park that was not in action. My boys were too old but would have been perfect for little ones. The beach had plenty of free sun beds, there was a charge for beds / parasols on the front row only. Never a problem getting one whatever time we went. Nice place to spend an afternoon. I believe there are free canoes / pedalos but we didn’t use them. Despite the few negatives we had a lovely holiday and would return to this hotel with a hire car. There are some lovely towns 10 mins away in the car with some fantastic restaurants ( we loved san Teodoro) well worth a trip out.

Great place. More geared up for French-speaking folk, but don't let that put you off. It was nice to go somewhere which catered for a different palette and an alternative culture. The animation team alone are well worth the visit, creative, attentive, and, most important of all... they have a clear understanding of what a holiday maker's needs and experiences are. Sincerest congratulations to Alvin and Jack, and their team for making this happen. If you are looking for a resort experience with a real difference, look no further than MClub Budoni!!
