We have been to Selina a few times. We have chosen it for its cost-benefit relation. The suite is spacious and has a nice view of the shore; it’s located in the peninsula, close to the beach, restaurants and the main street; and it’s not as expensive as most hotels in Punta. However, this time we have found it less interesting due to significant management flaws, which I mention below: 1. Cleaning: Room cleaning is clearly below standards. The rooms have no wardrobes and clothes must be accommodated in a drawer chest and bedside tables. We needed to clean all drawers, as some of them had awful stains and hair. Clearly the room service does not check drawers after guests checkout. 2. Room service: a. We stayed in the hotel for over a week, but room cleaning did not clean our room every day. They missed one day. I’m not sure why. b. There was only one soap for hand washing. No soap nor shampoo were provided for shower. We used our own soap and shampoo, and one day the room service took them away. That’s quite unusual. c. There was an old refrigerator in the room, which did not work properly. We asked it to be fixed, and were informed that it could not be repaired. No water, nor other drinks, are provided in the room. d. In the first day we slept in the hotel the room service nocked on our door when we were still sleeping, which was quite inconvenient. They explained we didn’t put the “do not disturb” sign out, but we didn’t have one in the room. It was provided later. 3. Restaurant: There was a nice Japanese restaurant which has moved away to Montevideo, but it is still advertised on TripAdvisor as located at the hotel. It was an advantage of staying at the hotel as they served a nice breakfast and dinner. We found the current service somewhat limited, and preferred to have breakfast at nearby cafes and restaurants. 4. Swimming pool: It was not appealing for a swim, as the water was opaque. It seemed it hadn’t been cleaned for a while. I would like to return to the hotel in the future, and I hope the management reviews the quality of services currently provided, particularly in regard to room cleaning.

All in general good, quality for the money it’s fair. Sometimes, a great experience can be disrupted by someone that’s not happy making the job, like in this case one of the person of the front desk. That person wasn’t helpful and neither smiling. When you are traveling for leisure you’re looking to relax and having a great time. So having an encounter with someone that is not having it can be a bit not so cool. Working on looking for happy people that work in tourism is very important. My kind suggestion.

The hotel should be called a youth hostel for it´s strcuture. When we arrived it wasn´t even finished yet and several works were still happening. The room was very poor and dirty, old wall air conditioning, the toilet is very old low quality material. When we complained on the reception the manager was very nice and offered us an upgrade. The room was bigger but still very simple, the bathroom was just as bad as the other one and all the works going on on the hotel made it hard to sleep after 9am. Not to mention the doors being knocked very loudly 24/7. It would be fine if it was a cheap hotel or hostel, but charging 220 dolars in South America for this is too expensive. The only positive aspect is the location very central if you want to be close to downtown and the sea.

The hotel is super well located. The facilities are good, the only thing that needs to be improved is the decoration and ambiance of the place where the jacuzzi and hot pool are. In the restaurant they must improve the food offer. There is nothing of the sea (and we are in a beach location). The service from Víctor who works at Reception was EXCELLENT, very efficient, fast, precise and above all friendly.

Very good marketing team but establishment leaves a lot to be desired. No structure in the rooms, reports having a full-length mirror and only for the face, stains on the walls and furniture, faulty flush, hairdryer doesn't work, my accommodation includes a welcome drink that wasn't given and I had to keep charging for it. to have. Very dirty pools and common open area without any maintenance. Receptionist was not helpful nor willing to resolve situations.

Super property, well located and with excellent amenities, the only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is because at check-in they gave us the room 40 minutes late than the promised time and at check-out they asked us to leave bluntly.

It all ended with a fraud complaint since the inept and ineffective Luis (the general manager for Uruguay) blocked my access to my suite and withheld all my luggage. A week after the criminal and tax complaint for fraud, they still have all my luggage and that of my daughter withheld.

The location is excellent with good facilities, it is really spacious with many activities to do, we stayed in a shared room with a private bathroom, everything was excellent, cleaning was done every day so the room was always in good condition. It has a large kitchen with all the necessary utensils for one to use.

Honestly it was a bad experience. At first I thought the place was good, the young style, shared kitchen, it's more of a hostel than anything else. At night, noise of people, loud music. The room was very simple and had a strange smell. The next morning, the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had. There are only three options, they serve you a toast with egg, or a hot mini sandwich, or yogurt, with a coffee and nothing else. For the price, it is illogical that they offer you that pittance. And honestly, the worst thing about the stay was the attention of the lady at the reception during the day. She talks to you without enthusiasm, arrogant, as if you were bothering her for doing her job. With good care, my opinion would be different, but it is unacceptable that they make you feel uncomfortable. While she was serving me, another girl went to ask her a question and the lady spoke badly to her, and now she couldn't answer. I had to tell him to please do his job and I replied, there was no need for bad trea**ent. A shame because the idea of the place is good, but the attention of the receptionist was unacceptable
