We, our family of 4, stayed for 3N/4D in the calm and serene surroundings of this resort. Not only our room was facing the Baranti lake and the hills, but we could also experience the beauty of nature from the wide green lawns of Allure. Although the best time recommended to visit this region in Purulia, was spring (Feb-Mar) when the red flowers 'Palash' reign over the tree tops, we visited this place in end-June, after onset of monsoon. It was a good time to stay here, to witness the misty hills with clouds, as if hanging therefrom. During the rains, hot tea/coffee and crispies served in the room by the friendly resort staff were definite mood-lifters. A walk around the lake to the nearby tribal villages (only around 2.5 kms; local autos are also available as an alternative) on one of the afternoons was a refreshing experience. Food was simple and homely, as we opted more for the Veg meals variety. Non-Veg Indian/Chinese cuisines were also available for consumption which also tasted good. Overall it was a very enjoyable, leisurely stay for us.

We came to know about this place from a youtube video. Being impressed, I booked it for a couple of nights, and got a 5% discount also, with reference to that youtube video. The room was in the main building, first floor. One friend of mine also booked it, and he was also given the discount. But later, another friend of mine booked a tent accommodation, but he was not given that discount. At a rate of Rs. 2400 per night, a discount of Rs. 120 does not matter too much, but it gives a good feeling as a customer. Anyway, three families together we visited this place in the first week of March. Location of this so called resort is really good. Our room was spacious, but it was not as well maintained or impressive as it looked in the youtube video. The bedsheet was not clean. We asked them to change it, and it took not less than half an hour to find a suitable bed sheet. Finally we settled with a bedsheet that was smaller than size of the bed itself, with couple of holes. There were few stain marks on the wall curtain, which can be usually created if someone spits there while chewing “pan”. There was no mirror in the bathroom. Our friend, who opted for tent, had to change initially, because the AC was not working. The tent looked little shabby, though the bathroom was large. Then, in their tent, they had a ‘guest’ at night. It was a wild cat, entered through a hole. Possibly, that animal used to sleep there at night, if there was no guest in that tent. On the first day they provided half litre bottles of mineral water, but they did not provide that on the second day. Reason is not known, although they charged same money for both the days. Food was very ordinary, and I think, the price is higher than what may be called ‘reasonable’. In breakfast, they were supposed to provide 5 pieces of bread, but they served only 4 pieces. We could not get a proper answer on asking why it was so. Otherwise, food was good, especially the mutton. We did not like the fried items like chicken pakora. There was no house keeping at all. No one came to clean the rooms in our stay of 2 days / 2 nights. People are unprofessional, and they are only interested in money. Considering the level of maintenance, house keeping, etc., Rs. 2400 per night is also higher than a reasonable rate. But one good thing is that they are not arrogant. Or, perhaps, we did not try too much. We, three families went there for a 3D/2N trip, and in this limited time, we decided that we would not waste our time by complaining on every point. So, we spent our time amongst ourselves, without thinking much of the negative things. So, that is the trick. Just ignore everything, and have a peaceful stay at this place. Before going there, please check other options also.

The hotel ALLURE- DE BARANTI, is a decent homely place housing 16 odd rooms and 4 tents; the no-fuss reception made us feel at home as did the courtesy and helpfulness of all the staff and ***ager (Mr Surojit Roy - +919836714495 / +918240377141); in a location as this, please do not expect “star” luxuries – the ground floor rooms ( we were offered these the 1st day, Rs 2,000 odd per room) are pretty basic, though they do sport Airconditioners and Hot water Geysers that actually work. The restaurant is decent – the food is wholesome and akin to home food, be it breakfast (we rotated on the offerings – bread-eggs, luchi-sabji, aloo parantha- raita and ofcourse tea, Lunch (we tried the veg meal and added Broiler chicken and country chicken as a variation) and Dinner (we tasted egg curries and lamb) – you also get soft drinks, sodas and bottled drinking water of reputed makes at reasonable prices (you don’t need to lug all of this in your car). The hotel is spread over a large tract of space and sports a largish lawn complete with swings and sea-saws for the kids and decent quality tables and seating facility that overlooks the backyard of the Lake Baranti. The rooms we reserved for day 2 were ***y notches better than the ground floor ones (Rs 3,000 odd per room) with 2 sets of veran***s that gave unrestricted views of the Baranti Hill and Baranti Lake and allowing us to have our evening ADDAs in the comfort of the Aircons of the room. A major PLUS POINT for the hotel is its closeness to the Lake / Dam and Baranti Hill (both walkable) – people flock to the Lake to witness the sun setting into the placid waters of the lake.

It was my last trip in the month of dec 2021 when we visited allure de baranti resort is the traveller’s paradise, making it the ideal spot to enjoy an unforgettable vacation. Allure de baranti resort's hospitality is sure to leave you satisfied and have you coming back each time. Located very near to the Baranti lake where one side you have mountains and the other side very close to lake make the ambience loveable. We stayed in tent which tastefully designed to provide an authentic experience of unapologetic comfort and enchanting serenity. Special thanks to ***ager Majumder babu who was very attentive, helpful, friendly, always fun to chat with and have a great conversation about the place.. The warmth of the staff and hospitality is exceptional and something you don't even get at 5 stars ***y a times... Huge appreciation for the chefs at the hotel as well who cook amazing food. Good open spaces in the hotel premises for children. Absolutely loved staying here and will come back again for sure. Thanks you..

Visited this hotel from 23rd to 25th Oct, 2022 with family members. Room is good, Service is prompt, the local service guys are trying hard. Even the travel desk is also helpful. Food is good but lack in variety. The view from Room Nos 204, 207 is very good. Scope of improvement-- 1. Newspaper in every room 2. Bedsheet needs to be changed 3. Tata Sky connection is there but sports channel is not included, it should be included. We can't view cricket match.

Location of hotel is superb. Overall good service. Food was homely, but limited options. Attendants were prompt. They have car service for sight-seeing too. One should try to get the Royal-Panorama rooms for excellent views of the hillock and the Baranti lake.
