I liked the overall experience here because the staff was really kind, the diving centre is in the hotel and I booked all my trips with them, the hotel is located near a beach ( more dedicated to locals ) and is also located near ''city-center''. It allowed me to observe the life of locals while feeling safe. The lady taking care of the hotel made everything to have a pleasant stay. Despite guests coming and going, the hotel is really quiet, giving the feeling of privacy. The staff from the diving centre were kind and funny. My instructor Bibo knew how to help me during my daily diving sessions.

Stayed here with my university scuba club and had an absolutely amazing time! Mohamed, his team and the emporer divers did an incredible job at showing us the local dive sites which are breathtakingly beautiful. The equipment provided worked without fault and food was very tasty. Mohamed and Moula also went the extra mile to arrange afternoon and evening trips to the beach, desert, football pitch and Port Ghalib further up the coast for us which we all really enjoyed. Transport to and from dive sites and Hurghada airport was also well organised and the rooms were very nice with very good air conditioning! Would highly recommend especially for larger groups

Perfect place for getting the Open water cerferticate! 🤩 Dive in small groups, relax at the pool, find new friends, have dinner in the restaurant or try authentic egyptian food in the city. Very familiar athmosphere! Super cozy and clean rooms! Disconnect and find pure serenity 😊

It's almost a cliché that Foreign Tourists will be fleeced by Locals. It was with this cynical attitude that I approached Blue Vision after first ****ing-out others which unfortunately lived-up to the initial impression. It didn't take long after first sitting down with former Commercial Diver and Owner of the establishment, Mohamed Salama, for me to realise that I had made the right choice. Although I was staying at another property, I did want to use my brief time in Marsa Alam to finally "take the plunge" and learn the basics about SCUBA diving. The aforementioned competitors promised me the world including food, entertainment, frolicking with dolphins and, quite surprisingly, immediate offshore diving. Not so with Mohamed; his offering was an almost overwhelming focus on preparation and safety. After an extensive indoctrination at the hotel, we headed down the coast to a beach where the real diving was to take place. I was a bit disappointed because I had hoped for something more "exotic". But, I reminded myself that this was just my first foray into the world of diving and as long as I got my feet wet and put my head under the water for a little while, my goals would have been met. This wasn't to be the case. Once we went through additional safety reminders, we finally went below the surface. I was immediately happy to see a couple of fish! I accepted this as a pleasant bonus to the experience. But oh no, there was more to come. As a kid, I had small aquarium with a few of colourful fish. I was enthralled. Little did I know that in the future I'd eventually see something like this from the inside. Later, when I became an adult, I had the opportunity to visit large tourist aquariums where patrons would "walk below the surface" through transparent tunnels while outside an almost impossible concentration of sea life swam and existed. It was almost cartoonish as it was something which surely wasn't representative of the real world. How wrong I was. Just a few metres offshore from this unassuming little beach on the Red Sea, I was introduced to a new and exciting realm; I was inside the world's biggest, brightest and most impressive aquarium ever! Thousands of fish, tons of coral and an almost unending expanse of promise... The initial training dive with Mohamed always by my side was well worth the reasonable fee. No. In fact, it was worth more! To this end, I look forward to returning and booking a full PADI course when the opportunity arises.

Family-run, medium-size, pleasant hotel. Not only for divers, contrary to what one might think by the name. Very good quality-to-price ratio. The owner is super-friendly and open-heart. We felt like at home!

I've spent a really nice week at Blue Vision Diving Hotel and I will definitely come back there! The hotel had everything we needed, the room was clean and the hotel staff was always kind, helpful and answering all our questions. The hotel owner Mohamed was really trying to make our experience in Marsa Alam unforgettable. The food in the hotel's restaurant was also the best we had in Egypt. I also did Open Water Diver course and following it Advanced Open Diver with Mohamed and it just started my love with diving. I would definitely recommend:)

We stayed in the hotel and did 6 fun dives with Mohammed, the owner of the hotel. The dives were amazing. He makes you feel very comfortable under water and takes good care of you in between dives. The hotel is nice, it has everything you need. A very good restaurant inclusive, the chef cooked us an amazing seafood platter (the best food we had in Egypt during our 2 week stay).

We stayed for 5 days and did some diving with the hotel owner who’s also a diving instructor. We liked the hospitality of the hotel staff. They were very polite and tried their best to accommodate our every request. However, the room had many issues. First, the bathroom ventilator was broken and the water trap had a foul smell so the bathroom always smelled terrible. Moreover, the toilet shakes when you sit on it and some of the towels looked dirty. Lastly, the fridge was broken but they replaced it upon our request. After chatting with our next door neighbours, it turned out their room suffered from a broken fridge and a smelly toilet as well. The hotel restaurant’s food was below average in general and the bread was often dry but their sea food lunch was really nice and we’d recommend it. We were also grateful that they accommodated our request for an Egyptian style scrambled egg for one breakfast. As for diving, the hotel owner gave us some good diving tips but we were quite unsatisfied with the dive sites he chose. We dived for three days with two dives per day but both dives were always at the same spot and were always shore dives. The dive sites were similar to average sites in other dive locations in the Red Sea but for a higher price. Lastly, the equipment was in a bad condition and often leaked some air. We wouldn’t recommend Marsa Alam for diving except if you do a live-aboard. Diving sites from the shore are average and the city feels like an abandoned ghost town or a construction site with many half built buildings and nothing going on. One thing we’d caution against is getting the hotel owner to arrange outside services for you as he marks up the price. The first incident was the transport from the airport to the hotel. The owner asked for 35 Euros but a quick search online and we got two offers. One for 23 euro and the other for 750EGP. We went for the later and it was a perfect ride. The second incident was our transport to Luxor. We had arranged for a driver with a sedan car that leaves at our chosen time for 3000 EGP. Upon hearing this, the owner told us that it’s not safe to travel with just one car as the road has no phone coverage and a couple of people recently got shot by illegal miners. Instead, he suggested the safe way is to leave with a tourist convoy protected by the police. His offer was 4300 (300 goes to the owner) for a limousine car but we had to leave at 4 AM. We trusted him (despite other foreign female travellers confirming they used the normal route safely) cause he said that’s the way he’d trust for his wife and kids. At 4 AM, we were greeted by a van which is not as comfortable as a sedan car as the van’s engine is normally very strong and noisy and you can feel it’s vibrations through your body the whole long journey (I had to explain this point as it wasn’t clear to the owner). Furthermore, the van was gonna take us to Luxor from the same secluded road and without any tourist convoy. Having no a
