Friendly staff, good location. The showers and squat toilet are combined, and there are no curtains around the beds.

Perfectly located and very friendly staff, warmly recommended

Located inside a housing compound. GPS navigation brought me to the door, which was fortunate as it would be hard to find otherwise. They could do with a sign in English – meanwhile, look out for the Chinese characters 观海. It looks like you're arriving at the back door of a ground floor apartment. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, using a translation app where necessary. The atmosphere is cheerfully scruffy and youthful, with hundreds of visitors' signature all over the walls. Facilities are basic – the showers are over squat toilets (plenty of water though), and there are no drinking water refill machine (buy plastic for 1 yuan at the reception). The lobby area is tiny – they actually advertise the sofa bed in the lobby as a single-occupancy. Not a great idea – don't confuse it with a tiny single room as I did. They upgraded me to a dorm room. The mattress is not soft. The location is good for a visit to May 4th Square and the seafront. Overall, it was okay to doss here one night, but I found Kaiyue Hostel much better value.

The place is very calm and tidy. Really nice hosts! It's far from the train station but you are near the sea.

This hostel is located in the residential apartment nearby the seafront. It's a bit difficult to find the hostel's exact location address even though I had asked the local people where the hostel was. The room is quite small in 2 persons share room.

Best hostel in Qingdao, not only for the location and everything, the vibe is good. The workers there showed me some good songs too. Totally recommend .

Pros Close to 54 Square Friendliness Cons Shower facilities are disappointing It is in a villa complex, but it is fenced off, so I think only the door in the picture is accessible. Entrance near the beach. And the single room has a sofa at the entrance counter. Please note.

Very close to the sea! It's only a three to five minute walk. The hostel is also very warm and clean. The staff is very patient and the price/performance ratio is very high. The experience was unexpected. Qingdao in winter is also very romantic. It is very suitable to book a room with friends haha
