Moxy Rapperswil

The room was beyond spotlessly clean. Not even a single fingerprint or dried water droplet on the crystal-clear shower glass. Gleaming chrome faucets; fluffy white towels and linens. 14+ Channels in English, 12+ in French, 10 in Italian and 40+ in German...outstanding television channel choices. Breakfast: quite good and very complete. Front desk staff friendly and they speak perfect English.

Very modern, spotlessly clean rooms, soft/fluffy white linens & towels, comfy mattress. Bathroom has a roomy shower, excellent pressure, instantly hot. The toilet is a $3,000 unit (Geberit) which has a bidet feature: highly recommended! The room is very well lit: a sensor under the bed gently splashes light on the floor should you need to get up and not be blinded by room lighting, which by the way is more than ample. Room is very silent; there's 24-hour forced air ventilation which very quietly runs and provides extremely gently, barely-detectable white noise; you'll have to focus on it to hear it. I never heard a single sound either from the hallway or the window. Light sleepers should easily fall asleep here. Wide-screen HD television with 70 channels + 10 channels music. Ten channels in English; ~30 channels in German and ~7 in French. Breakfast is quite well-supplied with the usual slices meats and cheeses, scrambled egg, sausages, breads, teas/coffee and breakfast cereals (20 ChF additional). No phone in room. WiFi access very good and fast; no additional charge. There's a pub for nighttime cocktails and does serve food and drinks. Front desk open 24/7. Some beverages and snacks are sold also in the lobby. Top floor (6) has a very nice outside deck. Also: an exercise room modestly equipped but you can get a decent workout! Elevator requires magnetic key for security; underground parking for about 14 cars; 5 ChF/hour and 30 ChF per day. It's not gated so you can come and go as you please. There's a bus stop (#622) across the street/40 yards east and it takes you to the Rappersvil railway stop or walk ~700 meters. It's about 25 minute ride by Swiss regional rail to Zurich main station, another 10 minutes more from the main railway station to Zurich airport. Cool restaurant idea: Try "Himmapan" Thai restaurant; it's 1.2 km by car (3-4 minute drive or 16 minute walk.

We went over Whitsun weekend. Having never been to Rapperswil we were pleasantly surprised by the town and staying at the Moxy! The correspondence was prompt as we were emailing with the Moxy before arriving; we used points to pay for our room and upon arrival it was a friendly, quick and easy check-in. The room, on the 6th and highest floor, overlooked the street. It was clean and comfortable with strong working air conditioning. There were black-out curtains letting no light in the room as we slept. The bar area downstairs has a cool, funky vibe and one evening we sat down there and enjoyed Kamakazi shots! The terrace on the 6th floor over looks the city- which was lovely as well. There are snacks, ice cream and drinks which can be purchased yet there is a COOP grocery store about a block away in case you need anything. There is no included breakfast with the room; additional fee … and there is no refrigerator or mini-fridge in the room. The Moxy is located on a Main Street, easy walking from the train station and there are two restaurants and a bar ( Werki Bar) within the area of the hotel. There is also a small fitness center with a bike, rowing machine and weights- it was clean and quiet with the other guests in the room following the fitness room rules. Bernard, at Moxy, was extremely polite, and friendly and he made tasty shots! We would stay here again- highly recommended.

Spent 10nights here. Unlike other Moxy hotels I’ve tried, this has a really cool, kind, helpful and “sparkling” young staff. The cleaning is also spotless and a quite tasty snacks. Great coffee and amazing smell everywhere. Rooms facing the road may be a bit noisy tho. Would recommend!
