Facilities: It can meet basic requirements. The room is a bit small but acceptable. Hygiene: 5-star rating. Environment: The hotel displays a lot of collections and the jazz music is very nice. Service: The front desk guy is very enthusiastic and patient. I really appreciate him.

Nice hotel in central historic downtown area. A bit tired and old fashioned but clean. No gym or sauna. Great breakfast.

Was pleasantly surprised - a jewel of a hotel. Exceptional value for money in a country where you almost have to pay to breathe air!

The staff is extremely cordial and helpful. The hotel is situated close to the BSI Reykjavik bus terminal, where you can easily book/be picked up for day tours. It is also an easy walk to the famous rainbow street, where you can shop, eat and get a photo of Hallgrimskirkja church. The room was cozy, and had all the basic necessities. The old fashioned elevator is small and charming. There is a coffee station at the hotel lobby and if you arrive on an red eye flight, they will hold your bags at the front. Overall, I was pleased with this facility for it's location and will book a room again on my next trip to Iceland.

It is very rare to have a private parking lot in the city center. Although Kai Nei is old, it exudes noble character. The most valuable thing to praise is the breakfast. It really has a high-end restaurant.

Exquisite and tasteful hotel, displaying many paintings and furnishings by local Icelandic artists, dedicated parking lot, delicious breakfast, many restaurants within walking distance, all services are friendly and efficient, the best place to stay on a snowstorm night.

Lovely hotel with great service. Buffet is substantial and filling. Nice bar. The art was a nice bonus. Try to get rooms on the end - the walls are not super soundproofed. Beware of potential parking problems if you have a car. Small parking lot and weekends are sometimes booked with private parties whose guests fill the lot. Great location with easy walk to shopping, restaurants and bars.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Holt. The room was clean and spacious, and the staff were all helpful and kind. I loved that this hotel was a few minutes off the main street, so it was super quiet at night. That being said, it was still incredibly walkable and convenient to explore the city. If you take the bus from the airport, the main station (BSÍ) is only a ten minute walk or two minute taxi ride from the hotel. Would definitely book again!
