Sonesta Simply Suites Minneapolis Richfield

Very disappointing. I am platinum level with sonesta and yhis was not up to sonesta standards. It took me almost an hour to check in. Very busy but only one person at the desk. Overall run down no pop in the pop machines, the list goes on and on and on.

This place was a dump. All we need is quiet, safe and clean and this was none of these. Dirty common areas and suite. Interior door to bedroom broken off of hinges so if you tried to move it, it fell off. None of the exterior doors to the building worked with the key card and were constantly propped open with a dirty sock, tissue box, etc. When I asked about it at the front desk I got an apathetic "none of them work" and when I said it was dangerous, I got a shrug. Constant party noise from neighbors, even after reporting to front desk. Seemed like people live here long term, which I don't have a problem with, but the parking lot was full of cigarette butts and other trash. Grounds were unkempt and trashy. See that nice photo of entry? Couldn't be farther from the truth! Sketchy property all around. Stayed here for 4 nights and never got any room cleaning, fresh linens or trash removal. All of the complimentary soaps and conditioners were empty. Shower curtain way too small so it flooded the floor. Never again!

This location should not be listed as a hotel or suites! Rather it is run-down, old studio apartments. The room we were given had stained floors, both carpet and wood floor. Couch was stained, chairs were worn and torn. Bathtub was brown in the bottom. We stayed for just long enough to sleep for a few hours. Upon early checkout the next morning, we were told we would get a refund for our two nights not stayed, however that was a lie just to get us out the door. Beware!!
