Good overall

The breakfast was wonderful, the room had a beautiful view and was clean, the staff was very friendly but the spa was very small and if I had known before I would never have spent 20€/person more for two hours for a pool and two saunas. The only thing that really disappointed us.

As always, history is a place we gladly return to. We'll see each other again soon.

Convenient location just outside the town. 10 min walk. Free outdoor and covered parking. Cozy and super Zen wellness center included in the cost of the room. Buffet breakfast with many possibilities from sweet to savory (and for lovers, including sparkling wine!). 2 swimming pools. The quite large external one, surrounded by a delightful park with many possibilities for shade and relaxation. The internal one annexed to the wellness centre. Kind, discreet and attentive staff. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

We had a really fantastic time staying at Astoria resort for four nights five days in October; we enjoyed mountain biking walking excellent food and service. Accommodation is really nice and we were provided a comfortable room for three. The room has everything you might need, a nice balcony and masses of hot water. The breakfast buffet is excellent too, really a great spread, with all sorts of cold cuts and sweet pastries all made in the in house bakery. The juicing station is particularly good, fresh juiced veggies and fruit. Also eggs to order. Yum. The indoor swimming pool is excellent. It is free for all until 10am. Then there is a charge of €20 per adult for 2 hours that includes sauna and steam. No children after 12. Children €10 between 10-12 They also offer free city bikes for 4 hours a day. This is excellent and offers a great way of seeing the city and cycling to Arco. the bar and restaurant are excellent. And offer good food and drinks at typical hotel prices. There are excellent options within 10 mins for food and drink at significant savings and to provide variety and different vibes. It's worth noting that Alice who serves in the breakfast makes the best cappuccino. and Daniel makes a very very good omelette but all of the staff were friendly helpful and testament to a great team. And leadership. Thank you for our stay. We will be back.

Our room was located in the same building / venue as a wedding... so we got to listen to music and feel the bass until midnight. The smoking area was located 3 feet from an open door so the hallway smelled like a smokers lounge. All we got was a "sorry" during checkout.

Second time in Riva but first time at the Astoria Resort. Would highly rate this hotel, everything about it was excellent. Breakfast was varied and very fresh, staff were all very welcoming and immaculately turned out, very clean, outdoor pool was great. It’s only a 10 minute walk into the old town where there’s loads of restaurants , although we did have dinner in the hotel one night and it was lovely. Lovely cocktails as well. We will definitely be back.

We checked into the hotel for the second time. The first time was last year. Over the course of a year, the hotel has changed dramatically for the worse. I'll start with the smallest... We were checked into a room that smelled of cigarettes, we called the reception, an employee came and confirmed that there was indeed a smell of cigarettes. As a solution, they offered a room of the same class, but upon arriving at it, it differed from our first room in that our room had floor-length windows, while the proposed one had small windows. we refused. further more interesting..... To get rid of the smell, we opened the windows in our room and went to relax by the pool. We went for a swim in the pool (it’s about 6 meters wide) and from one end of the pool to the other, hotel guests threw a heavy rubber ball (the size of a tennis ball), before this the ball had already hit a little girl in the face, but the players still didn’t stop their fun and hit my wife with all their might in the head... as a result: my wife became hysterical from shock, they called an ambulance and at the hospital they diagnosed a head injury. The lifeguard who was in the pool area also did not react in any way to such dangerous games, and after the incident, when he asked him to show the rules for using the pool, he said that he did not know about such games. The staff, of course, gathered after the incident, but they only offered ice and did not call an ambulance. I tried to convey to the manager that the pool is a recreation area, not a water park. the manager did not react in any way to what happened. the next day we approached the manager to demand money for the remaining days, since we were going to leave their hotel, because we did not intend to continue trying to relax in this hotel. the manager refused. started calling my wife names. she took out her phone to film and record the insults, he began to attack her and threaten her. Ultimately, the manager said that the hotel would never refund the money for the remaining days, and that we should do “whatever we wanted.” To resolve the problem, we contacted the service through which we booked, who offered a reasonable solution to the problem. We provided an extract from the hospital with the diagnosis to the reception and we were refunded the money for the remaining days of the booking. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you want to relax and not get injured and psychological discomfort from communicating with such inadequate staff of this hotel.

Just home from a lovely week spent in Astoria Resort. The hotel itself is pretty fresh and modern. The grounds around the hotel are so beautifully maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are basic and could really do with renewing the floor and cupboards. However, the bed is really comfortable, the pillows are too, and the air conditioning works well. The cleaners come in every day and fresh towels every day. The breakfast provided is really great- so much choice and complimentary Prosecco available too. You can have a coffee anyway you want, make your own smoothies and also fresh crepes and omelettes made on demand. The only downfall of breakfast is that we struggled most days to get an available table. We had to queue a couple of times and people would just ignore the queue and walk on in and claim a table. Needs a better system for seating people on busy days. The staff working in the hotel- front desk, bar, breakfast and the cleaners are so friendly, professional and welcoming, unfortunately the staff who work around the pool and at the pool snack bar both male and female have none of these qualities- they are rude, dismissive and we had to ask multiple times for our orders after we had placed them as they just seemed to forget. The staff at the pool/pool bar are the main reason for the 4/5 score and not a 5/5 score. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Astoria and would recommend it. It’s about a 15/18 minute flat walk to the lakefront. Riva del Garda is a beautiful part of the lake. We will defo be back.

This would be the third time I've been to this hotel and it's improved alot the big stand out is the service and the staff top class the staff are always smiling and greeting you with a good morning the reception on the front desk is excellent always there to help breakfast is a big choice and high quality we had dinner there one night again high quality service and food pool area fantastic even if the pool is a little cold room was good nice and clean cleaning staff excellent this is a great hotel for everyone go book a stay

We received a great welcome and full support From a very friendly staff. Room was clean and well furnished, services valuable and breakfast was exceptional. The issue we had is the very hot temperature, especially in the bathroom. Green hotel with very good position.

This hotel is very clean and well maintained with a very friendly professional staff. However,it is worth noting that the AC units in the hotel were not operating at this time of year (the month of May), although it was hot and the outside streets were noisy at night! The location is a bit of a distance from the lake but it's a good short walk. Excellent breakfast with a variety of choices and a nice outdoor seating area. The hotel has a nice view of the mountains and an excellent garden and pool setting.

I really enjoyed the Hotel! The most important - very warm, helpful and professional stuff was there! The room was big enough and clean, had some complimentary stuff, that was nice. Breakfast was great - a lot of choices. SPA is not too big, but it is nice. And again - the stuff is great. So I enjoyed those 5 days, thank You!
