Had a procedure at Mayo Clinic, called, reservations was smooth. I knew construction was taking place and it was a mess! I drove by ramp, it was full. I drove to front of hotel in the circle where I met Rodney at valet. He helped me park so I could check in. After checking in with the nice gentleman (forgot name, wears glasses, worked around 6pm on 7/30), he was wonderful and helpful with calling valet, Rodney, he helped me with my bag while the other gentleman working with Rodney, (sorry forgot name, he was great) and took my car while Rodney assisted me to my room. He was a ray of sunshine! Every time I saw him that evening or the whole next day throughout my procedure, he was always smiling and saying hello! During my checkout he helped with my luggage and brought my vehicle to me and loaded it. He is such an asset to the hotel and they do not know how much of a shining star they have for an employee to a hotel that sees a lot of sick and sad and crabby patients that come to Mayo! If you want something a bit extra, The Kahler Grand Hotel have some pretty special employees that will bring a smile to your day, lend a hand, when you need to reach for one, lend an ear, if you have something you need or wonder, make a wrong a right if needed. This is my 3rd stay, and this has been the best by far! Thank you for a wonderful, safe experience for a single lady! Kari Joy
