This hotel was in an amazing location only 20 minuets walk from the trevi fountain, thew rooms were very comfortable and very clean. The lady who was at the desk I believe she was the owner was so nice and friendly and welcoming I would defo stay here again if I came to Rome.

Overall, extremely disappointing due to unacceptable conditions and poor quality. Noise problem: The hotel is located in a building at the second floor, surrounded by regular appartements on top and below. Hence, the hotel has no control over neighbors noise disturbance. Indeed, we spent 3 nights out of 4 without being able to sleep due to the neighbors partying. Very loud talks and noises, screams, people jumping on the floor, electro music loud enough to feel the vibrations in the room. I have videos saved, just not possible to add here, please contact me if you would like to see them. Additionally, there are loud street noises even with closed windows, you can also hear people talking and walking in adjacent rooms. The reception phone is ringing in the middle of the night for long minutes as nobody is present at the desk. Finally, after a very unpleasant night, you have to deal with loud hotel staff cleaning, walking and talking in front of the door early in the morning. Room problem: The room is far from being as clean as it appears on the pictures. The bed was very old and noisy, the sheets were dirty, the bathroom mirror was almost falling off, the shower was in bad condition and dirty with dark joins and fungus all over the walls. The toilet flush was also continuously running all night. Finally, the overall smell in the room was bad due to high humidity, hence, all the cloths ended up smelling bad. See pictures attached. Staff problem: The reception staff members are most of the time absent. Reception is closed from 19:00pm to 09:00am. However, even during opening hours, it is a struggle to meet anyone to discuss about the unacceptable low quality provided (especially with such an expensive price rate per night). Be careful if you checkin after 19:00pm, an additional fee will be requested. Be also prepared that staff members will push to make you leave to room before allowed checkout time at 11:00 am. Overall, nothing has been made by the hotel to make the stay more pleasant, no help whatsoever, no room swap, no commercial gesture. Conclusion: Hotel Salis provided unacceptable conditions. Very unpleasant stay. Strong recommendation to book somewhere else.
