We arrived and were greeted by a lovely group of staff, after ordering our drinks we were brought to our table, now this is where they really excel, we have a little boy who has a various set of special needs, this did not deter (which we have experienced differently at other places) the staff at all, if anything they were great in engaging him, you can tell from the outset that this is a close “family” net team, Richard the chef along with his female colleague chef (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name) were fantastic as were the whole team. The food for the price you can’t argue with, was delicious, and we couldn’t finish it, if you’re better than us you can always go back for more which is surely the whole point in a Sunday lunch! Once we got home we all needed a nap! thank you guys, we will be back, little man won’t give us a choice!

Last minute table booking, they were very accommodating. Visited with friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lady serving the carvery was a real gem, super friendly and welcoming. The carvery was fabulous the girls scored it 5/5, however 4.5/5 for me as no roast parsnips! Otherwise it was delicious and I'll definitely be returning with family and friends, a great place to eat a hearty Sunday lunch which won't dissapoint. Thank you for your friendly welcome and great food.

Friends and family travelled from Southampton and Yorkshire to be together for remembrance day. Arrived on time and 14 sat down to dine but we were asked to leave after 70 minutes while still eating deserts as tables needed for new bookings.

We held an afternoon birthday party for 30 guests for my mother's 90th birthday. The care and attention that Michael and Eva gave to day was exceptional. It was a perfect day - wonderful food, wonderful service. We had use of the entire hotel all afternoon and then carried on partying with the locals when the bar opened in the evening. Michael was a wonderful and attentive host. It made for a perfect 90th party that will live in the memories of my family forever, Thank you Michael and Eva
