In the room there was a grill with a fan or something inside that sounded constantly without stopping. The curtains could not be closed completely, which, added to the street lamp outside, meant that the room was illuminated all night. The double mattress was very sunken and uncomfortable. On the other hand, the perfect individual. The frayed quilts have already given everything in this life. The cistern button was broken and the screen did not close. When we opened the door at 9 in the morning, a boy appeared in street clothes asking if we were leaving the room. Thus walking through the entire hallway asking the rest of the rooms. It's shocking that you haven't finished closing the door and he's already inside. Dressed in street clothes and with nothing to identify him, he tells you to give him the key... You don't know whether to leave it or run with it. On the other hand, something we liked is that breakfast is no longer served, despite Trip offering it in the advertisement. It was the option we decided to book at this hostel. Since we are going with children, it was very convenient for us not to have to leave the hostel to have breakfast and pay the €5 that was offered. We were informed upon arrival that it was no longer served. Perhaps the information given in the advertisement should be changed. In short, the only positive thing is the location.

The location is unbeatable and the price is reasonable. While the room was clean, it had a very pungent chemical smell that did not go away during the 2 days we stayed. The toilet was clogged as soon as we arrived and there was no one to help us. I wrote to WhatsApp according to the instructions and no one responded to me. There was mold in the shower and they have a machine in the bathroom that makes a lot of noise when it's activated (it wasn't on all the time). The beds are not the best, but it is good for not staying there for a long time.

The location very close to the center, a 5-minute walk to see the tourist area of Salamanca. The small but clean room for one night is fine. They had to put more hangers in the closet, there was only one and it was tiny. Lots of noise flushing the bathroom, ours and all the other rooms. For one night it's fine and see Salamanca.

I made a mistake and booked a day before the date I needed and tried to get it changed (there was space). But they didn't give me any solution, arguing that they couldn't make changes to the reservation since it was their own hostel. I can understand that they don't want to make that change because it was my fault but the attention was disastrous. While Trip treated me in a very good manner and with a willingness to collaborate, those at the Hostel treated me terribly, from the management to the reception. They were unfriendly and very uncooperative.

Very easy

I arrived in Salamanca by bus, so I walked to this hotel. The bus station is about 1.5 km away. Acceptable. The hostel is closer to the center, on the inner ring road, about 10-15 minutes walk. Hostal Santel San Marcos is located in a residential building, entrance from the courtyard. There is no 24-hour reception, I will have to go in along the way and then find the key, which caused me some difficulties. My room had windows facing the courtyard so it was very quiet. Everything is very clean. The price for the room is acceptable (29 euros). A good place to spend the night.

Simple hostel, it looks like it has been renovated from the outside, rooms. simple, very affordable price, very good central location, room. with curtains with holes from cigarettes when you can't smoke and one of the individual rooms has a very dirty shower, the check-in is very good, you call a phone and they give you a code and you have the key on the room door, good cleaning. Recommendable.

I went there to talk to a lady staying there and when I asked the boss if he knew the room where she was staying or if someone told her, he literally sent me out onto the street, threatening to call the police and with an unacceptable lack of respect and politeness, I recommend you Do not even go crazy to this place, unpresentable, with no one at reception and with an owner who surely has not worked in his life, it shows in that arrogance that he showed, it reminded me of the character in the movie The Holy Innocents played by Juan Diego , your thing is to set up a kennel, it will be better for you, for sure.

Bad from the first minute in which they attend to you in any way by phone. Everything they tell you is false: it does not have a physical reception, it does not allow you to pay at the accommodation, it is not clean or quiet. They provide access codes that are wrong and don't even give you an apology. The worst I have come across. They have no education towards customers. We ask for the claim form to formalize our complaint at the Junta Consumption office, and I encourage all those unfortunate enough to fall for this hostel to do the same. The more grievances on file, the sooner you will get an inspection. All the best.

Código erróneo (30 minutos de espera). Cargo anticipado del importe sin permiso tras indicar que no lo harían. Maleducados en sus mensajes. Nadie en recepción en dos días. Mal olor en los baños (tuberías y ventilación). Ruidoso. Pagamos por unos servicios decentes, una atención, y ya si de paso es con educación...
