Meliti Waterfront Suites

Fantastic apartment at Meliti suites. The penthouse (Ammos) apartment is so worth the extra cost. The wide balcony runs along the front and round the side so every room has a sea view. One bedroom with a side view out to Sami has an en-suite. The middle bedroom is double aspect with doors facing to the front and side. The 3rd bedroom is smaller and looks out to sea. Lovely indoor sitting/dining/kitchen area and lots of seating options on the balcony, from where you hear the sea breaking on the pebble beach. Great location between Sami (a few mins drive or 20 min walk, The Cellar is a great restaurant) and the even nicer Agia Effimia (10 mins drive. Walk away from the harbour up to Pergola or along to Sea Rock for dinner) and less than 10 mins walk from Melissani lake. There was a really long queue when we went to the lake (a cruise ship was visiting the island) so we just went back another day. And there’s a lovely bakery/cafe just a couple of mins walk away. The staff were very helpful before we arrived and very pleasant when we were there. Photos are of the view from the balcony.

We stayed in a very nice suite. Fully equipped and very well decorated and maintained. Each of the rooms had air conditioning and it was like a two double bedroom apartment. There was little to criticise, except the shower cubical was a little cramped and shower head kept flying off the wall mount with water pressure. Water was cold to shower in the morning but hot by evening. Taps are not thermostatically controlled so took some skill to get right! We'd stay again. Close to beach and a couple of good restaurants nearby.

Very clean, modern and comfortable apartment in a quiet complex. Only a 15 min walk along the sea path into central Sami, but some nice tavernas and bakeries within 1-2 mins walk. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Would highly recommend.

Really beautiful property, the views are outstanding and the breakfast was amazing.

We stayed in the Waterfront Suites Canella. First floor and directly above the reception. My heart sank immediately upon arrival when we were shown our room. The apartment was clean but certainly not high end. In order to maintain privacy in the entire suite , we had to keep all window blinds closed. The balcony was very disappointing in terms of privacy and the pictures on the website are very misleading. This balcony is in full view of the walkway to reception and passers by on the stairwell to the left. The website picture of the balcony had a plant pot strategically placed on the table cleverly obscuring the reception walkway. Usually we enjoy a coffee or drink on the balcony but could not relax at all due to the lack of privacy. There are some lovely suites on the top floor with sea views which I imagine would have been perfect for us but were not available at the time of booking. The location is fantastic and a fabulous base for exploring the rest of the island.

The suite I stayed in (Levanda) was well laid out, equipped and clean. Room service was discreet and done well to maintain the unit throughout. Cross the road to a quiet pebble beach and with good views to Sami port. The local Taverna was also an easy option for meals. An electrical fault was dealt with promptly.

Beautiful property with great views from our balcony. Our suite was two stories and had plenty of room for 6 of us. The staff was so kind and helpful! We enjoyed walking to the waterfront restaurant and local bakery very close to the hotel.

We stayed at Meliti Waterfront Suites in June 2023. The reception were kind enough to wait for us when we had to check-in late. The room was equipped for 4 people and was easily spacious enough for a family of 4 or 5. It was well cleaned and tidied daily. It's 10 paces from front of the suites to the sea and we made use of the sun beds provided to snooze under the trees on the water's edge and to swim from there. The pool looked lovely but we didn't use it as the sea was so close by. There are a couple of good tavernas that you can walk to within 2 minutes and a great cafe/bakery (Spathis Cafè Bakery Patisserie) where we had breakfast daily. It's a 2km walk into Sami (Σάμη) along the waters edge. We walked to the Melissani Cave Lake in a few minutes. We rented a small boat from Seven Seas Boats, who operate 500m along the beach, which was also excellent. We loved the place. It was quiet and would be a great place for families or for anyone wishing to be away from the main towns. We hope to be back soon.

Excellent location with easy acces to a small beach, close to Sami port/marina. Excellent cleaning services. The suite, Helios, has a fresh and modern design and is fitted with all you need. Nice beaches in the proximity, Agia Effimia, Antisamos...Fully recommend!
