Driving from the Dolomites, it was already past 8pm when we arrived. Because the hotel was fully booked for the weekend, I found that the front desk was very unprofessional when I checked in. I booked a triple room plus a double room on the top floor with a view. , but all three rooms were given to standard rooms, which were completely inconsistent with the pictures of the hotel. After communicating for a long time, we were finally given the room that originally belonged to us. When the hassle was over, there was nothing to eat in the restaurant, and we had to go out of the hotel to eat. Pizza. The hotel's environmental facilities are first-class, and it's also marked with four stars. However, the rooms and interior decoration are very ordinary, maybe they are old. The Italian guy who drives the electric car is very cute. He drove us to see various room types while humming songs. It was also very nice. Complaining about the unprofessionalism of the front desk.

Poiano is a very nice Resort. It is located at a very quiet place close to the lake, the view is beautiful, and it's very conveninet to vist Guarda lake. There are lots of sports inside. The restaurant is fantastic, and service is perfect. It was a nice experience for us to have a weekend there. We will come again.

Reading some of the reviews, we were a little nervous before we arrived! We needn't have worried though, Poiano resort was excellent from start to finish! Being a vegan family, we weren't expecting much food-wise as previous reviewers stated they weren't up to scratch, however we honestly cannot fault them! They went out of their way to make sure we were catered for, even providing vegan desserts and altering what was on the menu for us. There is also a delicious salad buffet full of fresh food which was a lovely touch. We honestly never went hungry and looked forward to breakfast and dinner! They had a full range of plant based milks and vegan friendly spread too. Our room was clean and spacious with comfortable beds and a lovely bathroom. We had a high up 'Junior Suite' and it is up a bit of a hill above the swimming pool, but we found it manageable. However, the hotel do offer lifts on a golf buggy to anyone who may be finding it difficult. The resort is approx 3km from Garda Town but the hotel offer an amazing free shuttle which runs regularly throughout the day (they do have a break in the middle of the day, but apart from this it is approx every 15 mins from 10-6.45pm). We also walked down one day and it took us (with 2 small children) around 20/25 mins in total. Garda town has good bus links to the other beautiful towns and also a port to catch ferries from. The pool was lovely - really huge and the kids loved it. It is 140cm deep with no shallow end, but the hotel provided my children with armbands to use and they absolutely loved it! They also have football pitches, tennis courts, golf course, kids play area and a spa. We would definitely return to Poiano and would recommend it to anyone looking for great accommodation. 👍

We stayed for a week at the end of the season and, first impressions were great! Beautiful location, view of the lake, spacious room, friendly staff and great pool! However, some activities were suspended, which was disappointing, as they ended 2 days before we arrived. The restaurant was large and mainly full every night with a menu for you to complete for the following day. Great except for the vegetarian option! It was the same EVERY DAY! If it was tasty, it may have been worth it but, on my first attempt it was luke warm, bland and very dry - a timbale of chick peas! When I mentioned this to the waiter, he said it was meant to be warm, however, other guests noted theirs was hot. We mentioned this to reception staff and they advised they would inform the kitchen but to no avail. Otherwise, the restaurant and menus were well-organised but with limited choice of meals. Even more-so if you're vegetarian, no chance at all if vegan! Food at the snack bar is poor. There is a shuttle bus to and from Garda town, which takes 5 mins and is due to operate every half hour but, at least on two occasions, it was half an hour late and waiting around in the heat is unpleasant but, as there are only 8 seats on the bus, you can't afford to find shade, as miss your place in the queue. The buses stop at 7.30pm which restricts your opportunity to go into town, and taxis are scarce, so a long walk back if you can't get one. Overall, it's a good hotel but once in at night, you're in and, when we stayed, there's little entertainment.

We are well travelled over many years and have sadly never experienced a hotel like this! This hotel is definitely not 4 star don't know where they ever got this rating from? On arrival we were given a junior suite (Jet 2 did advise that the junior suite wasn't located in the main hotel building at time of booking) what they didn't say was that you had to be a mountain goat to reach the suite, quite a walk from the main hotel up steep hills then loads of steps then more steps within the building to arrive at our junior suite exhausting to say the least! Suite and en-suite were very tired. After 2 days we had had enough and requested a move, the lady in management whom we spoke with was very pleasant and did allocate us a room in the main hotel room 226, we have to say this was much smaller than the junior suite but had beautiful views down to the lake and was more than adequate with a lovely en-suite and large shower. Now onto the food, my goodness don't know where to start! This is by far the worst food we've ever eaten (many times left uneaten) in our lives and this is no exaggeration. Everyone we spoke with agreed that the food was awful. We had to choose from the menu on our table each evening for the next days starters and main courses for dinner. How can you ever call this a main course for your evening meal - Egg, Ham and Cheese or Polenta (this is like the consistency of Semolina accept yellow in colour) with braised steak in gravy in the middle of it, made you feel sick just to look at it!! Salad Bar every evening had the same 6 items with no variations. Really nice pool however the white plastic loungers engrained with dirt were so hard it was impossible to sit on them for any length of time. Entertainment was mainly piano but in a very small enclosed area and bar service was very slow. As for the 8 seater shuttle bus supplied by the hotel for guests is a joke. Please Jet 2 re-evaluate this hotel or take them off your list of recommended hotels as they are definitely not a 4 star hotel and not worth the money. Really sad as this hotel let beautiful Lake Garda down.

We consider ourselves to be seasoned travellers who have already had 5 foreign holidays this year and offer this review as a comparison of our many years of travel experience. As you can see we travelled 20th Sep 23. As it happens this appears to be the last bookable week with Jet2. (Don't know about any others). Upon arrival we were taken to our Junior suite (262) which was a lovely room probably over 100ft above the main building accessed by a winding roadway and many steps, in common with the rest of the site. Whilst we were taken to our room by buggy it was evident that, with the number of rooms at high levels, the call on the buggy service would be immense particularly around meal times. My wife became upset with the whole location and I walked down to reception and asked if it would be possible to relocate closer to the main building. After some haggling we were given room 111 with the proviso that we would get no compensation. We got the buggy back down to reception and went to our new room. It was tiny, dirty, had shot glass in the patio doors and was located directly above the main restaurant and entertainment area. We didn't have any drawer space and had to leave some of our clothes in our luggage. Back down to reception. Sorry no alternatives. I asked for a kettle and tea making facilities as well as a lock for the tiny safe which required a returnable deposit. Having spent the best part of 12 hrs travelling to this point we went to make a cup of tea we found the hotel had the wrong type of socket for the kettle so back down to reception for a suitable adaptor which we had to agree a deposit for. Breakfast and dinner were supposed to be pre-booked on a machine in reception. (We didn't bother in the end.) On a nightly basis we were allocated the same dinner table and were given the menu for the next evening on which we had to tick our preferences. In truth, like most of the people we spoke to the meals were not especially good and suitable to our tastes but that is a personal opinion. Incidentally on the second day we spoke to two couples who had sacrificed their Junior suite for a room in the maim building because of the problems walking back up. It seems like a complete moan on our part but we went to the pool. Plenty of sunbeds but all, as has previously been noted on Tripadvisor, were very uncomfortable. Moving on. The entertainment was, in our opinion, poor. Mainly piano and too loud in the tiny Piano Lounge. Probably no more than 20 people at a time but experience showed that by 10pm most had left. The bar service was very slow with having to sign for every drink when it finally arrived. In all a very rigidly organised Germanic arrangement. For all that we found Garda and the locality to be beautiful and did benefit from the Poiano mini-bus but watch out for queue jumpers
