I don’t know where the last reviewer is staying, but it is not the mela dunas that I’m staying at. Arrived at 4 pm room not ready eventually put in what looks like a disabled accommodation, overlooking the front entrance. Not a great start, asked to move rooms, been told 6 pm today. So 2 days wasted and haven’t unpacked . Seems like unless you upgrade to the level at £50 each a day you get the old rooms . Never again Forgot to mention stains on floor

Had to wait a hour to check in, no issue as we were directed to lunch buffet. Driven to our room, very large, excellent storage and cold water in the fridge. Room cleaned every day by a lovely lady, fresh water and coffee replenished. Booked into 3 of the Al a carte restaurant, fabulous food and attentive cheerful service. Used Aqua for snack bar a couple of times, again food and staff really good. Buffet breakfast plentiful, loads of choice. Tables constantly cleared and food replenished. Really friendly staff here too. Beach bar great fun and great drinks. Plentiful sunbeds and pool entertainment spot on. Very hot while we were there but all staff members very cheerful and cracking service given, even the public loos were spotless. All in all nothing to complain about, fabulous last minute break, would definitely choose again, many thanks Melia Dunas and team

We stayed with the level wristband. Artur was our waiter most days by the pool and for breakfast and was fantastic. Made sure we had everything without even asking towards the end. Great service. Hotel staff were very friendly and all in all a wonderful stay.

We loved our stay at the resort. Would definitely recommend specially for families with kids. There certainly some improvements to make, the cleaning of the bedrooms, the Restaurants were fully booked even though were almost empty most of times and lack of nightlife, maybe because it was low season. Would like to point out the quality of the food at the buffet and the kindness of the all of the staff, more specificaly Dilza and Kevin who were amazing and made us feel like we’re at home.

We visited this hotel in the Easter school holidays. I don’t normally do reviews but felt that I had to for this hotel because we had read so many mixed reviews before we booked and still decided to go and judge for ourselves. The first problem was at the airport. After getting off the plane the first thing that you notice is a really large queue that is going very slowly to go through the airport security which after a long flight with a child is not great. It took us an hour. First impressions of the hotel getting off the coach were great, it looked lovely. The lady on the reception desk and the gentleman on the concierge desk were also lovely and helpful. Walking down to our room above the shops and restaurants was nice too. The room was a good size but we noticed that the sheets and pillow cases were stained, they had been washed but most had stains on them. There was nothing at all in the fridge, normally on an all inclusive holiday there are soft drinks and beer but to get this was an extra charge. There was 2 large bottles of water that wouldn’t fit in the fridge on the top. The bathroom was a great size with shampoos, soaps and a hairdryer. We visited the buffet restaurant after getting settled in and what an experience that was! There were really long queues to get whatever you wanted and then some things were empty by the time that you get to it. Our son really struggled with the queues especially when he just wanted some chips to go with his salad. Apparently the other hotel uses the Dunas restaurant too which they obviously can’t cater for. Some food stations were also closed. Also if you enjoy a glass of wine with your meal don’t bother it was terrible. The desserts and ice cream were amazing and not much of a queue for it. We were going to say something to the manager about the bedding and other concerns but noticed that people were complaining all of the time and not much was done about it. Some guests had no electricity and others no hot water. Their motto of “no stress” is definitely lived up to. The pool area is lovely! Although we had to get up early for a bed mainly due to the other hotel guests using the pool too. (They have different coloured towels). Empty glasses were taken away as soon as anybody had finished by a lovely guy who kept the pool area clean and tidy. We just wished that he had smiled more or interacted more and had a chat. That was another problem, the staff seem to have a problem with the tourists. There was only a few in the restaurant who actually smiled when you said thank you to them which tbh ruined our holiday. When we go to other countries we love to chat to the staff and ask them about their country and build a relationship with them but here there was no chance. Our 9 year old was quite upset about this and commented a few times on how rude they were and them also talking in there language to each other laughing at guests. The coffee shop was lovely with amazing coffee, milkshakes frap

This hotel has all the criteria that should make it great but it isn’t. The staff are genuine and friendly, the entertainment team are enthusiastic but that’s really everything positive I can say. The food in the al a carte restaurants is good but the main restaurant is awful plus there is a fly problem which management have apparently known about for months and done nothing about. There is a general malaise on the site with chipped crockery, overused plastic glasses, leaking air conditioning, French doors that don’t close properly, restaurants that are supposed to be open but aren’t, annoying touts, stained beach furniture and poorly positioned dumpsters that let the smell enter rooms. It really, really, really needs a competent and attentive manager.

If you want to have some holidays to rest , melia dunas is a good choice . It’s calm not a lot of animation , the restaurants are very good , nothing to point out. The staff is very good too, but I need to thank especially a lot to Dilza, she is really lovely and always ready to help .

Had a great holiday. Daughter loved the kids pool with pirate boat and slides we spent the whole holiday here. Staff member Dilza who works at the buffet check in was fabulous with our daughter and even brought her a birthday present as our daughter turned 4 out there.

They are chasing the profit without caring about Customer satisfaction and the Melia Rewards program. They sell the resort as adult starting 12yo, even promoted a VIP pass for young adults 10-18yo but will allow you to the Level area only from 16yo Average food, dirty Mosaic breakfast restaurant, sticky meat in the Grille restaurant, not refilling the minibar in the room are the caracteristics of the poorest managed Melia All inclusive 5 star resort I visited during 13 years of Elite/Platinum membership.
