I loved taking a stroll in the shade by the river (and a swim) and sitting on my balcony drinking coffee in the morning and looking across the river and up at the castle and white storks' nest. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. For those who like to walk there is an ancient calzads through a cork oak forest to the castle.

The restaurant, despite being a pleasant space, leaves something to be desired. Small portions, high prices and the food is not impressive. Service is not quick and a little embarrassing. Does not meet expectations. Rating 2/5 ⭐️.

A charming hotel, located in the Serra de São Mamede Natural Park, on the banks of the Sever River, in a privileged location for nature walks as well as visiting the medieval village of Marvão. Friendly staff, modern facilities, stunning views, great night's rest, excellent breakfast and parking facilities.

The bad thing is that the chechin in this hotel is done after 3.30pm so you lose almost half a day... In the small room there are no boxes, no cupboards, the bags are terrible........ Otherwise normal for a three star hotel Quiet place
