The ants were rampant throughout the room. At 2:00 in the morning the fire alarm wakes us up with a start, without any justified reason, after calling the reception several times, we only receive a: "Everything is fine, sorry for the inconvenience".

Dirty rooms, ants in the bathroom. Cigarettes on balcony. Very unprofessional and rude host. Mainly students. Boring foods. The only positive impress the area, is pretty amazing like a botanical garden. And the indoor swimming pool, jackuzzi can save you cloudly, rainy days.

Pestana Vil Sol Vilamoura was a very comfortable place for a short break. There’re lots of facilities for a restful break - extensive grounds, indoors and outdoors swimming pools, tennis courts, other wellness facilities, bar and restaurant. There’s also a 27-hole golf course and golfing school for enthusiasts. The pond at the back was a joy with its resident swans! Our garden room was in a block of villas with a patio at the back. The service was great - issues raised were immediately tended to.

Really enjoyed a golf trip here in December. When for 3 nights with a mate. Played the course twice and enjoyed 1-18 better than 10-27. You don't need a buggy, so not worth forking out for. Food is cheaper in the clubhouse, so better going there for lunch and beers. You can sit outside and watch the golf in the sun. Breakfast was great, rooms were sufficient. Pool table in the bar was also good. €7 in an Uber to the harbour Would go back

Ten of us visited Vila Sol for 4 nights from June 2nd. Greens and fairways are excellent.Some tees are still in need of attention but generally great. Excellent value for a great golf trip. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast each day was exceptional.

I wanted a few days away to relax and unwind, this is for certain what I got…. I loved the hotel, loved the food, loved having my breakfast next to the birds / ducks … my room was nice , plenty of space for me … good size bathroom… All areas clean, don’t be put off by reading the other reviews, not all hotels can be freshly painted , new and modern for ever… nothing wrong with this place if you want to relax…

Beautiful hotel set in tranquil grounds. Super clean and well maintained. Excellent customer service. Highly recommend 5 star hotel. The villa complex is lovely and buffet breakfast was nice, more so on the breakfast patio with lovely views over the golf course. The pools are well maintained and very attractive in their design.

Excellent all round, staff superb in their care and kindness, the food was amazing, facilities great pool area clean, and spacious, rooms were comfy with everything that you need could not fault it golf courses were brilliant appreciated the relax nature of them- fab couple of days with my son playing golf.

Thank you for making my husband’s birthday memorable… also for your kind gesture of getting a cake and champagne organised. All staff friendly and polite. Whole complex very tidy and clean. Restaurant provided good choice of food and an excellent breakfast.
