I loved the location and thought the property was stunning. I loved having access to the lazy river at the Westin Resort without dealing with all those crowds when I didn't want to. The quiet pool was where we spent most of our time and it is very serene and beautiful. We stayed in the "smaller" one-bedroom villa and it was, in fact, very small. Not complaining, just something to note. The pull-out couch was not very comfortable (although the king bed in the room was). Having a kitchen was very convenient and added a lot of value to the room, in my opinion. There were also a few times when the hot tub was not very hot, which was a little disappointing considering it was around 60 degrees one of the days. In general, it was a beautiful property and I would recommend it to families coming to Scottsdale. If you want a luxury experience though, I would check out the Phoenician.

We haven’t been back to this timeshare we have for a couple of years now. When we booked we were hoping for cooler temperatures, but that’s not up to us! It was hotter than usual, but we had a nice time staying in or traveling to different restaurants in the area. A wonderful resort and very pretty. The one complaint I had was when I asked for General Information to my VISTANA timeshare using Westin, my husband won’t even come to those meetings any more. Paula Marie did do her job at trying to get me to upgrade for more time and pay more, which I told her I wasn’t interested, but she was rude and condescending. She said I could sign up for an extra week or whatever without “Mr. Wonderful,” WOW what an insult!!! Then she said I wouldn’t be able to book a villa because of my availability is 8 months, I need that “magic option number.” WELL I CAN and have been doing this for 23 years through all the changes through Sheraton, Vistana and Marriott. If I ever decide to add more weeks to our timeshare it won’t be at Westin Villas Scottsdale. This is not the first time this has happened here, too many times, every salesperson I have ever interacted with have been rude!

A groundskeeper came up to my daughter with No shame at all and took pictures and a video of her while she was laying out! This was our first day at the resort. We reported it admittedly and nothing happened. They allowed him to work the whole week we were there and he also was maintaining our building. It was a nightmare! He would stare my daughters and I down and intimidate us! I couldn’t sleep the whole, I had so much anxiety. I called corporate twice and reported it and the lady that I spoke to twice would abruptly tell me she has to go and would hang up! So so Crazy!

A very basic stay, which we were surprised about considering the high price of the room. For context, we do “staycations” at various AZ resorts about every 6 weeks so we are quite familiar with the seasonal pricing and offerings of many of the hotel chains. We often stay in either suites or “residences”/“villas” to accommodate our family. These have typically features the usual hotel and resort amenities, and often have private outdoor sitting areas and sometimes private plunge pools. With these being called the Westin Villas, and charging nearly $900/night for a one bedroom suite, we were certainly expecting a similar experience. Disappointingly, we arrived to find first, that they do not offer valet or bell staff to assist with luggage. Next, that there is no room service, and that housekeeping is only done every other morning and can’t be requested otherwise. The “villa” was a decent sized one bedroom suite with no private outdoor space. Soap etc was provided, but no other personal care items like cotton pads, dental kits, or nespresso type machine (a regular coffee maker was there). They do have a washer/dryer/dishwasher with soap which is really nice for an extended stay. We did take notice of the mosquitos in the room, which were likely due to the fact that the entrance door had a sizable gap in the seal (photo)—not a great thing on a ground floor in Arizona where all kinds of pests could get in. We didn’t check out the Villa pool as we headed over to the Westin resort pools for their Lazy River. That feature was cool, but the pool area and chairs could use a good cleaning or replacement as most were dirty/stained and not in great shape. Overall, this isn’t a bad accommodation, especially for families with kids doing an extended stay and willing to do their own grocery shopping and cooking etc, *however* for the high price it was absolutely not meeting expectations imo.

This was our second stay, both in the summer when it was hot. It is an amazing place to stay. The relaxation pool is open 24 hours which is great when it is so hot. Everything is easy here and uncrowded. We love staying here and enjoying the lazy river, Flo-rider, gym, and pool of the Westin resort next door, which were also not crowded mid-week. Both resorts have beautifully landscaped outdoor areas. The bathroom is luxurious. The location is close to shops, restaurants, groceries, Walgreens. The only suggestion would be to keep pickleball open past 6pm in the summer when it is cooler.

Such A great resort! The rooms are spacious and quiet. The pools have activities for the kids and adults every hour with real prizes! If you want to relax, they also have an adult quiet pool. Best part, you can use the pool and lazy river at the adjoining hotel The Westin Kierland Resort and Hotel. The villas provide shuttles to the hotel and to the local grocery store. It is walking distance to the Kierland Commons which is full of restaurants, shops and activities! Awesome family holiday fun!! Highly recommended!

We have stayed at this property every Spring for the past several years - sometimes for multiple weeks. The location is great and the property is incredibly well maintained. There have been recent updates to the pools and outdoor seating areas. All of the staff are friendly and helpful, from the front desk to housekeeping.

We are multiple vacation owners, who have stayed at Westin Kierland villas over 30 times. We love the property, its location to desired amenities, restaurants, and shopping. The landscaping and maintenance staffs take pride in the quality of the villas and its grounds. Housekeeping is attentive and professional in meeting our needs. But it is the people who make our stays wonderful! At the Front Drive, Rob, Mark and the staff are generous with their time and attention to our needs. The Front Desk (Gracie, Robert, Antonio, et al) greeted us with warmth and a sincere "Welcome Home" greeting. The McDowell Market, pool service, and restaurant/bar people are there to serve and please patrons. We name names of those who serve above and beyond our expectations. To name a few (but not all) would include Devon, Dani, Sean (who also does a great stargazing presentation), Juan, Tucker, Joe, and Ryan, et al. The atmosphere is fun, accommodating, and we truly appreciate their service. Our restaurant portfolio continues to expand, shopping is abundant, and there is a great variety of entertainment and sports venues to enjoy. The bagpiper at the Westin Resort near sunset is always entertaining. Once a high school conference championship tournament was finishing on the last hole as he began his performance - that is the way to play golf! The weather encourages outdoor activities, golf and hiking on the abundance of desert trails. The Westin shuttle service provides great service to patrons desiring to venture off campus. We look forward to our return in the autumn.

Last October, I redeemed my Marriott Vacation Club points for one night stay at this villa. There are a lot of shopping, dining and entertainment around the villa, very convenient location. However, the Operations and Management has a lot to improve. On the day of our checkout, we came back to our room from breakfast to find 5-6 guys in our room installing new TVs. We did not receive any notice of such event, not to mention this was a total invasion of our privacy. We also did not understand why they would not wait until we checked out of the room. There were other guests who got woken up from this TV installation. I don't want to speculate how the villa managed to screw up the TV installation with guests still in the rooms. After my complaint, I was told that my vacation club points would be credited back to compensate for the inconvenience. However, after four months and several phone call and messages, I have not received any callback nor the credit. Again, I am very disappointed at the management operations at this vacation villa, and the Westin/Marriott Vacation Club brand.
