Four Seasons Hotel Seoul

I had an incredible stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. The service was exceptional, with a special mention to Jenna, I met the first day with 6 hours flight delay who went above and beyond to make my experience unforgettable. The housekeeping team was equally outstanding, ensuring my room was always spotless and adding thoughtful touches that enhanced my stay (Thank you for the yummy chocolate pastries and eye masks). The hotel’s facilities, location, and overall atmosphere were flawless, truly embodying luxury and comfort.  The only minor downside was the mattress, which was a bit softer than I prefer. However, this didn’t detract from the amazing experience. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Seoul!   Also no worries about restaurants there, many restaurants you can see nearby. The BBQ restaurant opposite the hotel is absolutely amazing! The two ladies there are incredibly friendly and especially attentive to children. The Korean beef and pork are truly delicious, and the kimchi, along with the slightly spicy mushroom soup, is fantastic. It’s even better than the Michelin one-star BBQ beef restaurant I visited the next day in Gangnam.

The hotel is nice. It is unfortunately vulnerable to noises which is a basic requirement for five star hotels. Their soundproofing is poor. There is a protestor who protests loudly every single day during our stay that can be heard since the first morning, at 7am mind you. They moved us to a supposedly quieter room, and we had to sacrifice the bathtub since the quieter room doesn’t have a bathtub. They allowed us spa access, which also doesn’t have a private tub either so it really wasn’t great since we book hotels specifically with tubs. Riddled with this choice however of course we took the quieter option in spite of the lack of a tub. The protestor however can be heard even from this quieter room, and the front desk says that there is nothing they can do since he goes around with his car. The second night came, and at 5am in the morning there were loud karaoke sounds outside. I called the front desk and they said there was a car coming to the hotel that was blasting music. After all of these disturbances they kept saying there was nothing they can do. Whilst this was true, it left us with a bad trip since we stayed for an entire week. We heard noises on and off during the entire week basically, and it is frustrating since the front desk kept saying there was nothing they can do. There actually could have been something that could have been done, which was informing guests prior to arriving of this potential disturbance, allowing them to have the choice to cancel their trip ahead of time. It is unfortunate since we would be keen returning otherwise, but peace and quiet is a very important part of one’s holiday which led us feeling trapped there the entire time.

What a heartwarming service! After several days of rain, I returned to the hotel and found dehumidifier packets inside my shoes.
