Mercure Ambassador Seoul Hongdae

I highly recommend this exceptional 4-star hotel. We were upgraded to a deluxe king room, which was spacious and beautifully designed with a youthful, energetic vibe. The location is perfect, just steps away from the vibrant Hongdae area, making shopping and dining incredibly convenient. With a checkout time of 12 noon and superior service throughout our stay, this hotel truly exceeded our expectations.

Size of the balcony is unexpected small and not suitable to use at all. Room service is not consistent, the welcome snacks were different for my room and my relative’s room, but the cleaning lady was very responsive and cleaned the room fast when we went out. Overall good experience.

I recently stayed at a hotel ideally situated next to Hongdae Main Street, directly opposite the Lotte L7 hotel. While the main entrance is tucked away on a quieter back street—right across from BHC Fried Chicken—it provides a sense of privacy while remaining close to the area’s vibrant energy. The hotel is relatively new, featuring a clean and modern design. Lobby staff were friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming first impression. Although the room was on the smaller side, it was expected given the central Seoul location and still offered a comfortable and functional stay. The amenities provided were more than adequate, and the inclusion of welcome snacks was a thoughtful gesture. One of the standout advantages of this hotel is its prime location. It’s only a 5-minute walk to the lively Hongdae shopping street and just steps away from Hongik University Subway Station, with Exit 9 being the most convenient. This makes exploring Seoul extremely convenient for both first-time visitors and returning travelers. Overall, the hotel offers great value for its location, with comfort, cleanliness, and accessibility making it a solid choice for anyone wanting to stay in the heart of Hongdae.
