Good option for get seaside birch experience not far from big city. Outdoor swimming pool very good, nice gym. Perfect for weekend trip. Upsad make things after sunset you not able even walk on the beach. Don't meet like that at any another hotel.

Plus - Service in general is good. The hotel pool and grounds quite well kept. The grounds is huge and quite beautiful. In many ways, the resort is better than the Dameisha Intercontinental. The Kids Club was very clean with lots of fun for kids. The Golden Bay Hotel service was quite good with great service. The price for lunch was quite reasonable. Good set meals from 128-138 RMB. Room was clean and spacious. Washroom was all large work bathtub. Private beach is long.
Soso - Breakfast was good and mostly tasty. Some stuff could be better like fresh fruits. Pastries were a weak point.
Poor - Beach littered with debris. Nearby public Dameisha was cleaner and that is a very busy beach. Really should provide parasol service on the beach. Paid seating with parasols would be better than nothing.

I frequently visited this Marriott Golden Bay Resort in the past few years during summer. However, this visit has left me uncertain about returning due to rising accommodation costs(2,400RMB/night)without a corresponding improvement in service quality. While aging facilities are common in hotels, the key is effective maintenance. This time, I stayed in a garden view room, where the phone was non-functional, and the shower drainage was poor, forcing me to call the front desk from my cellphone. The sink had many stains, and despite booking a non-smoking room, there was a lingering smell of cigarettes in the room. Additionally, seeing a large cockroach on the hallway wall raised concerns about pest control awareness. However, the staff at the buffet restaurant were all friendly, and the food was not bad, which remains one good memory. Although I acknowledge the high cost of living in Shenzhen, the ongoing decline in service quality amid increasing prices ultimately disadvantages consumers. I hope to see visible efforts to address these issues otherwise I won’t visit this resort again.

Great little getaway from the hustle of SZ. Great amenities, kids friendly and great service. Onsite food is quite expensive but Meituan delivers so is it’s all good.
