Macdonald Leila Playa Resort

The location to the beach is the best thing about this place. The pool/sauna are lovely and clean. Restaurant has the best fish and chips ever and a really good price. The rooms are lovely and spacious and have all the facilities I've, washing machine, dishwasher and they even have the liquids to use in these whit goods. The only thing that i was disappointed about is that when you book it looks like you get a duplex apartment when you book and 2 bedroom but you don't, it's all a one floor apartment. Apparently so many people have the same idea. The shops, ie Lidl and supermarket are just over the bridge where you can find places to sit and eat as well. I would go back to this place bit as a couple and not a family.

We had booked one week through *********** at Macdonald Leila playa Resort from today 16.December 2023. The booking was confirmed and prepaid. We arrived to night at 9 o’clock. We were met by a man at the reception that told us that the hotel was closed. He sad that we should try another Macdonald resort called Dona Lola. Maybe we were booked there. We so did. The reception there was closed and the security guard told us that we were not booked at Dona Lola. This seems like a fraud. Now, we have nowhere to sleep/stay. Stay away from both booking .com and Macdonald Leila playa resort

Excellent place!!! studio B 35 apartment 65 yards to the waterfront from our front door. Excellent boardwalk both directions you can take for many kilometers place was outstanding ….great vegetation and gardens in and around the pool area and walkways through the garden with a gym and a steam room and dry sauna & showers. Ruben and Javier were the attendants and they were excellent and most helpful and most pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend this place. The da Vinci restaurant was excellent. We ate there three times. There’s a little churro shop across the pedestrian walkway from the resort. Excellent.

Good communication with reception staff very helpful,grounds well kept,very clean apartment even though it was a bit dated,every thing you needed on hand,right on the beach limited number of restaurants for eating

Fantastic resort. Staff amazing. On site restaurant lovely. Food great. Will definitely be back again on a regular basis. Resort well placed for local amenities. Visit Mona Lisa Bistro, Porto Fino and La Placito. Avoid La Luna, which is overpriced with poor food and service.

Went to Leila playa resort for first time , the room had everything we needed it was immaculately clean and before we left we gave it a good clean to say thank you.a big bonus a washing machine. We were c6 so altho it was furthest back from the amenities it was quite and had views of the forest and some views of the sea. The gardens were really nice full of little waterfalls and ponds with fish and little frogs, the pool, jacuzzi and all pool area were also kept tip top. We had some meals there which were delicious. Thank you to all the helpful staff for making our stay so good and we hope to book again maybe one of the family rooms nearer the front next time.

Fantastic resort and not too busy kids had a great time, staff really friendly and informative. Had a great holiday here would definitely recommend

How we love Leila Playa, we have just spent 2 glorious weeks at Leila Playa where everything was perfect, although we did have 2 days of rain, which did not stop us enjoying our time in Spain. The reception staff were so friendly and helpful, it was so good to be able to ask them any questions, where they would be more than happy to help. Our apartment was great with beautiful views over the beach and the Atlantic ocean. This is quite a small resort which offers peaceful times for relaxation. The entertainment made our holiday complete and cannot wait to return, thank you to everyone at Leila Playa

I had researched hard to find a place that would suit a family with young and old guests. This place was great. We stayed in B8, a three bedroom apartment right opposite the gate to the pool which my meant I could see the apartment and pool whenever one of the kids needed to go back to the room. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a good sized fridge freezer. It was spotlessly clean. The were three bathrooms. The air con was good and there is a hair dryer in each bathroom. I was really surprised and happy at how lovely and modern it apartment was. The restaurant was delicious and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The bus stop being outside the hotel was a winner as we didn't want to drive. There is a Lidl opposite the hotel and a shop on the way to Lidl that sells everything in the world so don't worry if you have forgotten something. The beach is right outside the hotel and we snorkeled everday by the rocks just to the left of the gate to the beach. There is a kayak/ pedalo/ sup hire a five to ten min walk from the hotel if you turn left on to the Broadwalk. We paid 24 euros for a double kayak for an hour a single was 12. We walked to the marina (right on the Broadwalk) which took us twenty mins and we were walking at speed so we decided that this wasn't suitable for our less abled members. However it is all on the flat and there are a number of restaurants there. It was just very hot when we were there. The hotel doesn't serve breakfast until twelve. Which wasn't a problem for us but could be useful to know for planning. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back.
