We had the most wonderful Valentines evening at Nuthurst last night. The venue was beautifully decorated with love heart balloons etc. Such a warm welcome on arrival, the arrival drink was lovely, the food was phenomenal, the staff were efficient and friendly, the singer was fantastic and what a lovely touch to have some sweet treats at the end and a little gift. This was very much appreciated. The evening was such good value for money so THANK YOU so very much.

Went for Sunday lunch. Lovely location and seating in conservatory type area. Both had traditional Sunday roast beef lunches. Started lovely and tasty. Roast beef was excellent. Super veg sides. Deserts were scrumptious and tasty. Staff attentive and eager. All in all a lovely lunch and great experience. Would highly recommend for Sunday lunch . Well done all

Not the best experience all round. Booked the Sunday lunch with carols. Had numerous annoying phone calls asking me to confirm my booking having already sent confirmation emails etc. it was a surprise for my wife spoilt by phone calls asking for confirmation. We arrived at hotel in good time and wanted a pre lunch drink. We were told lounge too busy and were forced to go sit at our table. Ordered a drink. Pint of beer came, awful. Warm and cloudy. Was told it was temporary bars fault as problem had been recognised before! Why serve it then? Ordered a bottle of wine which, same bar, was warm white wine! Had to have ice cubes to chill wine! Poor. We were constantly harassed asking if we wanted to order whilst trying to have our pre dinner drinks. Eventually we gave in and ordered. Food average. Luke warm. No one cleared table of empty glasses or unappetising bread basket. No one asked if food was ok. No one poured our wine. We had to order dessert at same time as mains. Bizarre. Service was poor. Carols were great. I asked for the service charge to be removed. What a performance that was! Spoke to someone who allegedly was the owner on way out. Totally not bothered. I thought the way he was dressed he was going to a pop concert! Suitable for a Sunday lunch occasion, I don’t think so. Shame because restaurant was decorated lovely. Staff are all fairly young but no leadership. I got the impression it was well we’ve got your money but not interested in feedback. Disappointing experience.

Was amazed at the cosy reception and the opulent bar/snug. Had room service of sandwiches that were delicious. Bedroom was so spacious. Windows were amazing not a draft anywhere. Heavy curtains to keep the room toasty! Clean & fresh everywhere. Staff in breakfast conservatory couldn’t have been more helpful! Loved it there & will definitely be back when ever we want that touch of luxury & peaceful atmosphere. Thank you all for preserving this little gem. 💎 🙏

We are three friends who met up for afternoon tea having not got together for a few years. Hannah was so hospitable and friendly. She couldn’t do enough for us and the kitchen were also very kind marking our special occasion. Thanks so much 🥰 ☺️☺️

Nice large traditional rooms, very good quality dinner restaurant and professional service, with a cozy bar, the breakfast however has a very limited choice and finishes early for a weekend visit when one wants to be not rushed and more relaxed

I made a booking in a private room on 2nd September for a family meal (17 people) to follow after a private funeral for my father. The booking was on 17th September – 2 weeks in advance. I was informed the menus/confirmation would follow on email and a £150 deposit was paid. The confirmation email, and menus, wasn’t received. I chased this the following day and finally received it that evening. Email stated the deposit was non-refundable. After reviewing the menu, I called on Friday 6th @ 9am, and left a message for the Events Manager, to discuss some changes we wanted to make to the menu. No call back was received. Lunchtime Saturday 7th still no call. With this lack of response my mother asked to cancel the booking as she was anxious to confirm everything. Upon cancellation I was reminded of the non-refundable deposit. After querying this, and asking to take into account the circumstances, I was offered a credit note. After asking for the Manager’s details, I was given his email address. 2 emails, 2 phone calls later, no response. A shame that customer service lets down such a lovely place.

A friend and I went to Nuthurst Grange for a sandwich lunch. The setting was delightful and the service very attentive, but the food was most disappointing. The meat in my roast beef sandwich looked remarkably similar to the pre-packed roast beef sold in supermarkets. My friend’s cheese sandwich contained quite a thin slice of cheese. My cappuccino was lukewarm. I didn’t complain at the time because I didn’t want to embarrass my friend who had suggested that we went to Nuthurst Grange. I shall not be returning.
