"Really enjoyed the contemporary, minimalist design of this room. The highlight was definitely the large projector screen opposite the twin beds-perfect for an immersive evening movie. The bathroom was spotless, featuring a cool industrial grid-tile look and a massive vanity counter with endless space for toiletries. The room layout is slightly tight around the walkways and the seating corner is best suited for one person rather than two, but for a clean, stylish, tech-friendly stay, it's excellent value."

Hilton Wuhan Shimao Hotel is located in Binjiang Avenue, Hanyang, Wuhan, which is a traffic fortress leading to Hankou and Wuchang. It is one step away from the Hanyang River Beach, adjacent to the Yingwuzhou Yangtze River Bridge. More than 50% of the hotel rooms are 180 degree river view rooms. Through french window, you can enjoy the night view of the river city; The Chinese restaurant in the hotel is renowned and is your top choice for tasting local Hubei cuisine. It is only a 15 minute drive from Wuchang Railway Station and a 45 minute drive from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport. The hotel is located near famous tourist attractions in Wuhan such as the Yellow Crane Tower, Parrot Island Bridge, and Guiyuan Temple. Metro Line 4/6 provides direct access to the hotel

"I spent a long time choosing a hotel and wasn't sure where to stay, but this one looked pretty good in the end. When I first checked in, there was nothing particularly special about it. No one guided me to my room, and no one helped with my luggage. The room felt a bit dated, though it did offer views of two bridges in Wuhan. There weren't any smart amenities. They had a delivery robot for room service, but it was incredibly slow. I had also contacted them in advance to prepare children's amenities, but they weren't set up upon arrival. The breakfast variety and taste were just average. The swimming pool was decent, and the views from there were indeed incredible, no complaints about that. Overall, I felt like many aspects fell short of five-star standards. There was one minor hiccup during my stay, but the guest services manager, Ashley, deserves praise for her excellent attitude and how she handled the situation."

This hotel is wonderful, beds and rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff were exceptional kind, especially Claire Shang, who was working at the front desk. She speaks fluent English and a number of the staff know English as well. Every time I have family or friends visit me, I get them a room at this hotel. Can’t recommend it enough. Plus the breakfast is cheap but yummy, and you can order specific dishes you want like an omelette or scrambled eggs. Plus local Chinese dishes. Also they have a cute robot that can bring amenities to your room if you need them.

The Ritz-Carlton, Wuhan

Compared to the Ritz-Carlton Nanjing where I've stayed before, my experience at this Wuhan location was a huge disappointment. Overall, I was very let down. Let's start with the positives: The hotel lobby and public areas are grand and beautifully designed, creating a great ambiance. The facade certainly lives up to high-end hotel standards. However, the guest rooms completely fall short of what you'd expect from the brand. The room interiors are ordinary, and the quality feels mediocre. What's even more outrageous is that the shower room fixtures were damaged and faulty. Having stayed in hotels in various cities for years, this is the first time I've encountered damaged bathroom hardware in a high-end luxury brand in China. After discovering the issue, I immediately contacted the front desk. Staff promptly came to fix it, and the process was fine, but the hardware malfunction severely impacted my stay. Paying a premium price for a stay, yet not even being able to guarantee intact basic room facilities, really highlights the urgent need for the hotel to overhaul its routine inspections and room maintenance. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends looking for a high-quality stay.

This is for our second night, and I wanted to add a few more details: 1. When the housekeeping staff cleaned our room, they noticed we used the table for drinks on the first night and replenished a box of tissues on the table, which wasn't there originally. 2. The housekeeper helped my girlfriend find her lost hairpin, even though we hadn't mentioned it beforehand. It's clear they clean very thoroughly, and they even folded our messy clothes. The housekeeper really deserves a commendation! 3. The turndown service was also good, and it's a nice touch that the hotel provides steam eye masks. 4. One point I missed in my last review that I'm adding here: I'm really curious why a hotel that opened in December 2019 is still using towels all manufactured in June 2019, with no replacements whatsoever. Personally, I don't think even my own towels would last seven years, let alone those used by rotating guests... There are quite a few things to complain about, but it's still pretty good value for money, and the afternoon tea is very photogenic. However, the hotel seems to put a lot of effort into the public areas, and the guest rooms really need more attention.

I'm a light sleeper, and the front desk was kind enough to upgrade me to an executive room. There were even some welcome snacks in the room. It was raining continuously in Wuhan during my stay, so I ended up spending most of my time at the hotel. The overall room design was well-thought-out, and the bathroom area was spacious, with a bathtub offering a direct view of the high-rise cityscape. The pool and gym weren't crowded, which was very comfortable. Although it's not in the city center, there are plenty of dining options, including a pretty good Cai Lin Ji hot dry noodle place nearby. The only minor issue was that I put out the sign for a second housekeeping service during dinner, but no one came. Perhaps I needed to call.

Staying here for my business trip was a fantastic experience. The location at Ruixiang Road No. 9 is absolutely perfect! There are plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options nearby. Jiqing Street Night Market and Tongcheng Yinxiang are right downstairs, and there are some great breakfast spots and BBQ joints in the vicinity too. Basically, you can eat from morning till night – it's a very vibrant and lively area. I'll definitely choose this place again for my next business trip to Wuhan; the convenience of the location is unbeatable. The front desk service was excellent, very patient and attentive. The hotel was clean, and the facilities were great as well.

This hotel is extremely convenient, being very close to the airport, which made our travel much easier. At the beginning of our stay there were a few issues and we had to change rooms twice, but the customer service was excellent throughout. The staff were patient, responsive, and genuinely helpful in resolving everything quickly. The amenities were a big plus the gym was well-equipped, and the free laundry service was very convenient. Breakfast was also a highlight, with a very good buffet offering plenty of options. Overall, despite the initial hiccups, the great service and facilities made this a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Would happily stay again.

The Hilton Optics Valley Hotel offered a truly perfect experience! Nestled by Yanxi Lake, my lake view room was spacious and spotless, with stunning views of the lake and trees right outside the window. The custom Hilton bedding was so comfortable, I didn't want to get out of bed. The turndown service and thoughtful amenities really showed attention to detail. Breakfast was incredibly generous, featuring a full spread of Wuhan specialties like hot dry noodles and lotus root soup, and the freshly made omelets at the live station were cooked to perfection. Aria provided warm and attentive service, and the front desk handled check-in efficiently and quickly, responding promptly to all requests. With complimentary parking, high-speed WiFi, and a 24-hour fitness center, the hotel is perfectly equipped for both family vacations and business trips.

The front desk proactively offered a free upgrade this time, and even left a handwritten note in the room, which was really a heartwarming touch. Five-star rating all around! The water pressure in the bathroom was excellent, and the toiletries smelled lovely. Food delivery could be brought right to the room. It's about a 30-minute walk to Guanggu Walking Street, and you'll pass Huazhong University of Science and Technology along the way, making for a very pleasant stroll. Very satisfied!

The location is excellent, and the decor is new and modern, definitely worth the price. As a well-established star-rated hotel, it's impeccable. The night view from the room was fantastic, offering a panoramic sight of the Yangtze River cruise and the riverside business district. It was a shame it rained day and night, making everything a bit blurry. The surrounding amenities are complete, making it great for both leisure and business travelers. Miss N at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. The only negative experience was after the hotel customer service added me on WeChat, they sent me over 10 messages relentlessly pushing me for a positive review. Even though I'm busy with work, I had promised to do it eventually, and being constantly hounded felt really unpleasant.
