I booked the newly opened Home Inn in advance for Tomb-Sweeping Day during the Winter Solstice. As expected of a new hotel, the environment, hygiene, and facilities were all excellent. All rooms have windows, but for safety reasons, they're restricted to opening just a crack for ventilation. The room was spacious, with a sofa and a small round table – perfect for munching on duck neck while watching TV. There's also a tea bar next to the lobby on the first floor, offering warm white fungus soup in the evenings. The first floor also has a laundry room where robots deliver your clothes to your door after washing and drying. Breakfast was a bit simple; if you went late, they didn't refill the milk, and the orange juice tasted heavily artificial. It would have been better to just have a hot water dispenser for self-service. I ordered a bowl of wontons and had two bowls of porridge, but the tofu pudding was delicious.

Overall, a fantastic experience, a must-see five-star recommendation! The guesthouse is nestled amidst rice paddies, in a beautiful and tranquil setting, with fresh air and a truly peaceful oasis in the heart of the city. The location is also very convenient, close to both Shaxi Ancient Town and the city center, making travel hassle-free. The rooms were impeccably clean and extremely comfortable. Each is a uniquely designed, detached wooden cabin, offering excellent privacy. The facilities are comprehensive, including a campsite, a coffee shop, and entertainment options like karaoke and mahjong, catering to both adults and children. The large outdoor space allows children to play freely, making it perfect for family trips. Everything you need for eating, drinking, and entertainment is here in one place; I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Taicang!

Traveling with my parents, I booked two big bed rooms, building c. The room was clean and the facilities were complete. It is at the entrance of Liuhe Ancient Town 10m. There are parking spaces at the entrance of the ancient town, but the number is wrong. You can park in the parking lot across the road and cap 15 yuan a day. We mainly put a fireworks in Taicang during the New Year. The parking lot across the road can be put in the open space, which is very convenient. The inn staff are very nice and the porridge for breakfast is also delicious.

Although the room is small, it is very comfortable. It is not easy to climb the second floor, but the children like it very much. Then the design of the figurehead was interesting, without cutting a tree, though I didn't see the designer's nameplate, but it looked the same designer as the restaurant. Unfortunately, the smell in the room is too heavy, it may be the reason for using multi-layer solid wood boards. At the time of design, it may be for pure scenery to expand the viewing frame, so there is a small window for ventilation, in fact, the window above the bar can also be designed for ventilation. Yes, this way the circulation wind can reduce the taste. Outdoor activities are very good, but the most suitable season is summer, because in summer, you can dig bamboo shoots, watch lotus flowers, you can catch crabs, and you can play paddle boards. It’s not bad to come to Qingming Festival, there are no mosquitoes, and you can enjoy the cherry blossoms. But the paddle board can't play, because it will catch a cold when it falls into the water. However, the zip line crossing the river is very exciting and fun, and it is rare in other places. The boss is very enthusiastic and helps the children peel melon seeds and peanuts. According to employees, the boss bought some deer to free up in the forest farm, and my daughter said she saw the deer with horns at night, but she was in the age of nonsense, so I am not sure if it is.

This is an easy choice in Taicang city. The main issue is that all rooms are in the second floor and it could be noisy in the middle of the night or early morning because people just like to talk loud while going to or from their rooms passing by all other rooms! Maybe a sign that says “please keep quiet in the corridor” can help a bit!

The hotel is located opposite the Shaxi car, convenient transportation, a few minutes walk to the ancient town, there is a supermarket KFC next to the hotel, there is a night market and a food street downstairs, the front desk room service is warm, timely processing of guests' needs, recommended!
