Because the train line from Gruyere to Lyon had problems, the train detoured to Chambery and then to Lyon, which delayed the trip. I stayed one night near the Lyon high-speed railway station. This Ibis hotel is very close to the Lyon part dieu high-speed railway station, just a 1-minute walk away. The room is of a suitable size and has good sound insulation. I didn't hear much noise from the train at night, and it was not noisy. There were no toothbrushes, slippers, hair dryers, etc. in the room, but I brought them myself. The bed and quilt in the room were clean and comfortable. The receptionist (a man from ***** *****, I don't remember his name :( ) was great, very friendly and helped us a lot. A wonderful person. The room was very good. The only drawback was that parking was not included in the accommodation and we had to pay for it separately.

Staff was super friendly and this is the only hostel I stay where the staff walk me up to the room and explain everything. If you have research where the location of this hostel, you will know the hostel is located on the top of hill. So definitely a battle if you have big luggage..the selling point of this hostel would be enjoying the view from the terrace. Overall the place is clean just the facility bit old for the toilet. I think they really should be doing some upgrading and some tlc for the room.(Some of the curtain are already wear and tear) The location up the hill I think a plus point for me as I take it as an exercise after having stuff myself with so much foods and with rewarding views.

Sorry, I really feel bad. The room faces the main road and it was very noisy the whole night. The bathroom is really too small. There is a bathing place in front of the toilet. I didn't sleep very well the whole night. This photo is of the breakfast place. I think the layout on the first floor is pretty good and the front desk service attitude is good.

The garage is about 200 meter away ,on the same road but with shops in between.You get a code to open it .The garage didnt feel so safe even i f they said they had security cameras in it. Bed for two was tiny.And breakfast could have been a little more. For example no eggs.But location nice and nice service.
