The guest house is immaculate, homely and a great place to stay in Stirling. It’s very central but in a quiet street. I had a wonderful view right ove to the Walllace Monument. Everything you need is provided and Richard, the host, has a really well laid out book of instructions, recommendations etc in your room. The breakfast is lovely and it was great to be able to chat with other visitors. The only disadvantage might be if you have a problem with stairs as all the rooms are upstairs. I would certainly recommend and stay again in The Munro guest house.

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful, spacious, clean, and well-appointed house in the heart of Stirling; and what a great traditional breakfast! Richard and Harley gave us a warm welcome and Richard provided us with detailed information about water, heat, medical services, etc. A well-run operation. I wish we had stayed longer.

I can’t fault Munro Guest House in any way - only a small suggestion at the end of my review. Situated in a quiet road, about a 5 minute walk from the station, this was an extremely comfortable place to stay. My room was spotless and Richard was a friendly and welcoming host. Breakfast (including porridge) was excellent. Good value at £77! The only thing I missed was decaffeinated coffee in the evening!

Love this cute and cozy guest house. Richard is so warm and welcoming. A highly recommended stay when visiting Stirling. Great location, very short walking distance to Stirling Castle, church, cemetery and also to the city centre, shopping, restaurants and cafés.

We had a lovely stay with Richard, an excellent host. We’d had a long drive from Orkney so arrived tied and hungry. Richard was on hand to recommend a great place to eat and to orientate us to our surroundings. The location is perfect and breakfast was delicious. Highly recommended.

We had such a relaxing and welcomed experience! Richard (and Harley) made us very comfortable in their home. I will tell friends and family to investigate opportunities to stay at Munro House. Thank you, again, for your care and hospitality!

Perfect little stay with our 2 dogs. Richard is super welcoming, the place is very cute, very clean, very Scottish and a definite little gem. Breakfast was delicious and room facilities are fab and it’s perfectly placed to walk to the castle, old bridge and Wallace monument. If you don’t have a dog don’t worry as you’d never know dogs ever go there it’s so clean and fresh yet very dog friendly! Highly highly recommend!!!

We stayed at Munro Guest House for one night on our way to Glencoe. We arrived via ScotRail and walked the 10 minutes uphill to the guest house. Richard, the host, had graciously agreed to meet us early so we could drop off our luggage prior to the 4:00 check-in time. That gave us the freedom to wander Stirling for several hours that afternoon. Our room had a large window that offered a view of the Wallace Monument in the distance. It was a small room with very little space to put our luggage. However the bathroom was bigger than most in the UK with consistent hot water and good water pressure. The windows opened which allowed us to get some air flow in as we slept. For breakfast, Richard fixed us the full Scottish breakfast. It was delicious and great fuel for the day. The dining room has a table assigned to each room and Richard was in and out serving food and chatting with guests. I highly recommend Munro Guest House. It's a great value for the money, in a convenient location to access all the Stirling sites, and hosted by a gracious and friendly host.
