Taoyuan Taoyuan District Hotels

The exterior is unassuming. You must keep a lookout for the signboard when in the vicinity. However, once you reach the check-in counter at level 6, it feels like you've been teleported to a different world. It's clean and modern. The electrical plugs are international. So, no adapters required on our end. I will come back again because it is within 5 min walking distance to Taoyuan train station. The HSR station.

The room was mostly clean and comfortable and the bathroom was well lit. The location was near Taoyuan station and it was convenient to travel to other areas. There was a straight bus from the airport to a bus stop that is within walking distance to the hotel. Was a short but nice stay overall ☺️

A parking lot is conveniently located nearby, and right across the street, you'll find dining options like Ta-Pu Teppanyaki and BBQ. The hotel's ground floor also features complimentary snacks, coffee, and milk tea. I find this hotel to be quite clean and feel it offers a premium experience. Whenever I'm in Taoyuan, Holiday Inn Express is always my top choice.

Room Quality: The room was newly renovated, which was a pleasant surprise. It felt modern and comfortable. Common Areas: Unfortunately, the main areas of the hotel are quite dated. They could use some updates to match the quality of the rooms. Check-In/Check-Out Policies: I found the policies regarding check-in and check-out to be very strict. It can be inconvenient for guests with varying travel schedules. Location Convenience: One of the best features is the convenience store, supermarket, and several restaurants located downstairs. Overall, while the room was great and the location convenient, the outdated common areas and strict policies were drawbacks.

The breakfast was very good. The room was a long time without ventilation. The smell was very big. The room was very big, but the number of years was too long. The facilities were very old. The bathroom faucet looked a bit dirty. The bed was too soft. It was soak in the morning. It was cheaper than this price.

Reached the hotel after 6pm on a Friday and check in process was fast. Friendly and helpful counter staff. Room is quite spacious though the interior furnishings look old with a small TV. We realised one of the windows can't be locked as the latch was broken. Hope the hotel can look into this for safety precautions. Overall satisfied with our 2 night stay at this hotel:-)

This was our second stay here, and overall, everything was great. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to get a good night's sleep. The only issue we encountered, however, was that the pillows were far too firm. Even with such a comfy bed, it's impossible to sleep well when the pillows are like rocks! 😭 I would highly recommend swapping them out for softer alternatives.

Location is near to the airport. Room was spacious, bright and very clean. Shower and toilet area even came with a tub. Staff was polite, thoughtful and efficient. Advised us on timing for cab pick up to airport by considering morning traffic while ensuring we had enough time for breakfast. Staff ensured that our luggage was dropped off and picked up right at our doorstep. Breakfast was a good spread and it was prepared and ready on the dot. We appreciated this as we had to rush off to the airport immediately after. There is even a private garage. It's a pity we didn't get to benefit from it as we've already dropped off our rental car before check in. The only negative is that we had to carry our luggage up the stairs as there was no lift access. But this was understandable as the garage was on the ground floor and the room is on the first floor. Would definitely consider this place again if the price remains competitive in future.

The hotel is generally okay for a short stay. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, with basic amenities provided. The bed was comfortable, though the pillows were a bit firm for my liking. The staff were polite and helpful, but service could be a bit slow during peak times. Breakfast offered a decent variety, but the quality was just average. The location is convenient, close to local attractions and public transport. Noise from the nearby road could be heard occasionally, but it wasn’t too disruptive. Overall, it's a decent option if you're looking for a budget-friendly stay.

Nothing special about this hotel despite the reviews. The interior has not been updated for some time and carpets in the hallways and rooms have stains. Slippers they provide are like thin disposable hospital slippers. Breakfast is a typical Asian cafeteria style affair, all pre-made with no real staff other than those that bus the tables for the next group. Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be much in the way of decent accommodation options in Taoyuan. Mostly average 3-star style local hotels it seems. Better options in Taipei or the bigger cities.
