Lovely hotel, food was very nice, lots of choice. Staff all very friendly & helpful. Rooms were big, beds were comfy. Pool area always kept clean, I imagine it gets very busy in the summer though. Very close to the beach & restaurants, perfect positioning.

We arrived early morning for a short break and although couldn’t check in, we were greeted by lovely staff and provided with wrist bands and a place to store our luggage. The beach is a short walk with an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars. The rooms are spacious and clean. The cocktails/alcohol menu is fantastic with all branded spirits at an extra cost, however local spirits have been enjoyable. Breakfast was lovely, with a great range. Lunch by the pool of burgers and chips, was fresh and as you expect. Varied dinner options and there is always pizza, chips, fresh salad, cheese and breads. Lots of local steak houses/fish restaurants if you did want to eat out. The pool doesn’t open until 10am and you are unable to reserve beds, which is good if you’re not an early riser, however we found ourselves sat waiting. You aren’t allowed to smoke around the pool, but people do which is annoying if you don’t smoke. The pool is freezing in October. Hotel is lovely and clean. Only a short drive from the airport, with a taxi costing 20 euros. Mainly Spanish guests, but there were some British. Staff are able to speak English and we had no troubles with communication. 10 euro deposit for towels. I would definitely stay again. I personally wouldn’t take children to this hotel but that is just personal preference. Entertainment staff are lovely and there could be a reduced schedule due to time of year we visited. Quite a lot of the Sunbeds were broken and there are some ants (neither bothered us), however the hotel is having a renovation so I am sure this will be resolved.

Stayed for 5 nights in May, would I go back ... probably not. Room: bed were comfy room was large and clean, bathroom needed upgrade and our balcony looked directly to street view which was very noisy early hours of morning. Food: plenty of options for breakfast and dinner however the food was cold therefore not enjoyable. Pool: doesn't open till 10am! This not acceptable for guest to be waiting around till mid morning to sit by the pool. Once open it's run for your life situation to get a sunbed which could cause arguments and potential falls. This needs to be addressed by the management. Location: 10 min walk to a host of restaurants near the beach if turning left and down the hill. Turning right you can walk into the old town then back to hotel along the beach front so you don't need to climb loads of stairs back. You can also walk to Benalmedena which is about 40 min Check out: if you are unable to keep your room for a late check out, they offer you a shower room to book on the day of departure. This is literally a shower room next to the pool toilets. once showered and dressed you need to finish getting ready and packing in the hotel reception area. Again this isn't really acceptable for a supposedly 4 star hotel Overall: definitely not a 4 star hotel but could be if management listen to guests opinions and suggestions

The staff in this hotel are indeed, the crowning glory!I lost my phone enroute. They tried very hard to help me in any way they could.Hard as the staff worked, they always had time for a smile and a cheerful greeting. The place was spotless. The food(although, not always to my taste)was plentiful and always being topped up.They also tried hard with the entertainment. The only downside as far as I`m concerned,as a solo traveller, was no outside space to sit at night. There was a balcony but that seemed to be the smokers spot.I loved my holiday here and it was so central.Well done one and all!

Ok …. so …. first impressions weren’t good BUT our room was lovely, spacious & very clean. We arrived late at night so missed dinner & headed for the bar which was awful! Next day we had breakfast which was excellent. The pool area was not ‘our cup of tea’ but to be brutally honest that was down to the brash & loud Brits so not the hotel’s fault. We found solace on the chill out terrace on the 5th floor - very comfy Balinese beds but no toilets or bar up there. Lunch & Dinner were fantastic so no complaints there I’m a very plain eater but food was excellent & plentiful. Never went in the bar again except to send hubby for drinks. Hotel in excellent position 2mins walk to sea. Would we return? Yes we would - if the price was right - the price we paid was a bargain. The older guy on reception was very abrupt & not at all helpful when I told him our fridge in the room wasn’t working he just shrugged his shoulders & said ‘well it should be’ so I didn’t persue it any further we didn’t need to use it anyway but the other reception staff were very friendly.

This hotel is definitely not a 4 star! I think giving it 3 would be generous. It completely lacked any kind of customer service. You aren’t allowed to go and sit by the pool until 10.00 and they have security guards (who are incredibly rude!) making sure you don’t! Do this. Then at 10.00 it is terrible, everybody running and pushing. Not a great way to start the day and definitely not something I want to be doing on holiday. At least half the sun beds are broken too so not a comfy day. I am vegetarian and this is definitely not a vegetarian friendly place either. Struggled to find much to eat. A special mention for Juan on reception who was incredibly rude! Doesn’t even try to be polite to the guests!! The security team are also terrible, it is like they have no awareness that people are on holiday. The rooms are clean though which was a positive. I am 100% sure you will find somewhere to stay that are actually bothered about you wanting to have a nicer holiday. Avoid here It is clear a completely new management team are needed to turn this hotel around.

A hen party of 13 is always hard as a hotel. But we weren’t a particularly loud group. I’d say it would be nice to be able to choose if you had a balcony or at least have the chance to pay for the upgrade as room allocations appeared pot luck. Most of us didnt get lucky and had wall views! The rooms were clean, and towels were changed daily if required, but the rooms definitely were not cleaned daily. The staff were just rude! I can only assume reception didn’t know how to say thank you or please in English, as I never heard it uttered once. The pool situation was laughable, it didn’t open until 10am, which for some (including me) meant your day couldn’t start until then, but it also created a massive Benny Hill style rush for sun beds as there is NO WAY near enough sun beds for the amount of people at the hotel. The food choices were plentiful, but other than the pizza there was nothing nice, it was all boarder line ok, and certainly nothing hot. I’d usually just resort to having salad and chips, but the some of the salad was black and slimy and the chips were cold…..in fact everything was cold. We also all wanted to sit together when we ate, but despite there being plenty of room in the dining room with many empty tables, were were told by the rude staff we could only sit at the tables of 4 or 6. When we asked why we couldn’t join two together we were just told we couldn’t 🙄 I accept you get what you pay for and it certainly wasn’t expensive, and it could be ok, BUT it wasn’t. Word of warning, this place was full of groups, hen parties, stag parties, group holidays, we were ok as we were one of them. If you’re a couple, or family I’d say this would be a strong no go if you want chill/quiet relaxing pool days. If your a group looking to book, I’d probably try elsewhere.

Visited this hotel last week .. we went with another couple .. firstly pros .. beds excellent, food good , bar and restaurant staff so friendly, rooms cleaned daily and a lovely 10 minute stroll to beach and quaint wee shopping streets.. now the cons .. far too many stairs anyone with mobility issues beware .. steps everywhere.. had few problems with arrogant French people found them very rude skipping queues .. no English channels at all on TV if you want to chill in room at night and no effort from reception regarding same , just said sorry no English channels mind you 50% of guests English speaking.. night time entertainment very poor when we were there . Bar closed by pool at 8 then there was no a**osphere in other bar .

We've just had a lovely, relaxing week in this Hotel. We arrived at this Hotel late after a delayed flight from Heathrow Terminal 5. We received a very warm welcome from the Management who gave us the designated wrist bands. We were made very welcome indeed. Our room however was awful. Cramped & the air conditioning was not working. On complaining we were offered another room on floor 7 with faint views of the sea. The Management were so kind & accommodating. The food was lovely, fantastic presentation every meal. The staff were so helpful. The only downside is the pool. The clientele were awful. Many were drunk & smoking so we didn't bother at all with that. The beach is a 10 minute walk downhill which was ok but walking up the hill was hard work. The beach was lovely, loads of sun beds for only about 8€ a day The sun beds are comfy so it's money well spent. If you have trouble with steps this hotel is not for you but there are lifts. I was so embarrassed by the Brits drunken behaviour at this hotel but for the price you pay that's inevitable I guess. If you walk to the beach & make sure you're first at dinner, breakfast etc you'll have a lovely stay. Would go there again but definitely not in school holidays
