Uga Jungle Beach - Trincomalee

Chandana and Saratha arranged the best snorkeling experience we’ve ever had to Pigeon Island. The snorkeling was mind blowing : 7-8 black tip sharks and big turtles. We felt so safe and looked after and can thoroughly recommend. The whole team just can’t do enough to spoil us. Pristine beach and wonderful smiling service everywhere we go. Food also very high standard. Love our Sri Lankan breakfast and all the rest. Garden team working tirelessly to keep beach and property looking lush and beautiful. Restaurant service faultless and so friendly. Will be back to this wonderful resort.

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of extraordinary! Nestled seamlessly into the untouched natural landscape, it creates a true oasis for both native wildlife and guests alike—making it an absolute paradise for bird watchers and animal lovers. While the accommodations are charming, the heart of the experience lies in the hotel’s exceptional food concept. From the à la carte breakfast to the three-course lunch and ever-changing four-course dinner menus, every meal was a delight, elevated by impeccable service and a warm, personal touch. The entire team exudes hospitality, but a special shout-out goes to Mithila, Ashan, Nethru, and Sumedha, who made every dining experience unforgettable. Their attention to detail, kindness, and passion left us smiling from morning to night. Beyond the culinary excellence, the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. From the reception and concierge, who effortlessly arranged excursions departing straight from the stunning hotel beach (and I mean really stunning!), to the adventure guide, housekeeping, bartenders, and lifeguards—everyone contributed to making our stay truly special. Every request was met with care, making us feel genuinely valued as guests. If we had to pinpoint one area for improvement, it would be the bathroom in our bungalow, which was often too hot and had an unpleasant odor on certain days. However, this was a minor inconvenience in an otherwise perfect stay. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a magical experience!

We visit the hotel for one of our family gatherings. Food was really good and above all staff was really friendly and above all they treated each and everyone of us according to our needs. Ms Mithila even offered to prepare us personalized meal if the food was not for our preference. Staff even arranged a birthday surprise for my birthday and she was so moved by their gesture. Mr Assan even checked with us couple of time regarding our visit and even went above and beyond for us to get a late checkout so we can enjoy our family time even more! I would highly recommend anyone to come and visit this place it’s really beautiful and above all family friendly! If you haven’t visited this place you are missing out!

The team at Uga Jungle Beach are genuine, so friendly and accommodating... nothing is too much trouble. Ishara is a real asset to the hotel - so hardworking and seems miraculously to be everywhere making sure things are running like clockwork. The beautiful little mouse deer walking calmly through the property, wonderful birds at the entrance pond and an enormous crocodile (safely behind a fence) all add to the magic!
