Excellent location. In and around the hotel, there are a lot of delicious restaurants. The highway is easily accessible. The bedroom was nice and tidy. Would return to stay there.

Paid R2750 per room for two rooms- expected it to be good.breakfast not included in that rate . Air conditioner didn’t work. Hotel pub closed at 10 pm on a Sat night. Service was average and coffee was unimpressive. Overall disappointed for a Marriot group hotel

we loved our stay and we had such a good time even though we just stayed for one night. we went to a concert and only returned late and we were still greeted with such kindness. the rooms were clean and perfect. room service wasn’t available at 12

Your belongings are not safe at this hotel; I celebrated my birthday at Protea Hotel Fire & Ice Menlyn, hoping for a memorable experience, but it turned into a nightmare. My phone was stolen, and the security response was shockingly inadequate. Despite CCTV footage and alerting the hotel management within 2 minutes of the incident, there was no lockdown, no attempt to locate the thief, and no accountability. This lack of security and disregard for guest belongings is deeply disappointing, especially for a loyal customer. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety and accountability. I urge Protea Hotels to reassess their security protocols and prioritize guest safety

Very cozy and fabulous hotel. Very clean passageways and good soundproofed rooms. Close to many attractive places in the precinct. Good Food with variety, great ambience, strict security measures in place and very secure for floor access. Speedy service.

Attending a workshop at this hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service at the restaurant. Unlike other establishments, the chef, Kenny, went above and beyond by packing my lunch for later when I wasn't feeling hungry. This level of flexibility and care is unparalleled. We absolutely loved this hotel. The bed was huge and so comfortable. The shower was divine and spacious! It was clean and had friendly staff. The breakfast was unreal with SO many options. Secure parking too, and perfect internet with high speed. Highly recommend.
