Absolutely loved our stay at the Mecure Hotel Milton Keynes. The hotel was set in beautiful green surroundings close to a golf course. The hotel itself had a spacious and welcoming foyer. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who swiftly checked us in and explained where our room was. We had a very quiet room as requested. The room itself overlooked the back car park but was surrounded by trees. The size was very adequate and the bed super comfortable. Everything was clean and the pillows were comfortable too. Coffee tea facilities were good and refillable if required. However there was no fridge in the room (my only negative) The bathroom had a rainfall shower and was a good size with shampoo and body wash. I wanted to give a big shout out to Natalie on reception for going above and beyond with a lovely smile too. I think the only negative I had was with the breakfast manager who was not so friendly but it was very early lol. Breakfast: Amazing coffee machine!!! Cooked breakfast and continental with good bread and lots fruit and yoghurts. Check out was easy too. All in all an excellent stay and we would definitely return. Breakfast came with our package and was very nice.

The receptionist was veey Ffiendly and helpfu atl check in. The Room was nice and clean and the bed was really comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Our waiter was lovely unfortunately the room was not. The sofa had rips and holes in it. The jacuzzi bath had a plug that did not work and a shower door that made it impossible to reach the taps. The cupboard had a broken door I cut my hand on. Staff did not care and just passed us around. We were eventually told to email but no reply. Very much well take your money then we’re not interested. We ended up being late for dinner with friends and family to celebrate my birthday as it took two hours to try and sort the plug out which was definitely broken.

Hotel location is ok and approx one mile from centre of MK Welcome in reception friendly and efficient I found the room comfortable with adequate amenities and large bed albeit a bit tired and could have been cleaned more effectively There was a strong chemical smell in room as the shower gel device in the bathroom was leaking so the shower floor was covered in thick/cheap shower gel causing a H&S issue and strong smell Ate in the restaurant as no where within walking distance to eat. Service in the restaurant was really poor with unattractive servers and with very average quality food offering Didn’t stay for breakfast Ok for one night stay but wouldn’t rush back

The room was okay sized for one, tea and coffee facilities fine, bed comfy. On entering the room there was a bit of a funny smell so had to open the window. There were random dark hairs on the bathroom floor and on the toilet and sink. Also got hairs stuck to my feet from walking on the carpet, the room did not seem clean. The safe was locked so had obviously not been reset when the room was turned over. The shower did not drain as the plug was stuck, I assumed that when housekeeping came in this would be sorted as they would notice when cleaning the bath. When I came back in the evening the bath was not drained so clearly had not been cleaned, I could hardly tell the bed had been made and the only reason I know someone had attempted to clean the room was that my dirty mug had been replaced with a clean one. The housekeeping was terrible overall, very poor attention to detail as well as a slapdash cleaning job. Not 1 star as the restaurant is nice.

Location is a plus - the hotel is close to Wolverton which has a lot of good independent options - not the bland chain restaurants that Milton Keynes is famous for. Stony Stratford is also a good option for old pubs. The advertised EV chargers are chargeable and you need a BP Pulse account to use them, though I was told this is changing at some point. The first room I was given had a broken TV (but would have been fine otherwise), I was then moved to another room which seemed fine at first but I then noticed a very loud humming sound. The third (time lucky) room was fine and very comfortable, although unfortunately the mattress felt saggy and old compared to the room before it - I guess they're replacing the mattresses gradually. Ahmed at reception was very helpful and understanding in sorting out my room issues and is a credit to the hotel!

We stayed here for 2 nights at the end of May/beginning of June 2024. We booked a Superior room and breakfast on both mornings. We had a number of issues with our room, no robes/slippers, lights not working, poor quality shower, etc all things that could have been fixed if the rooms had been properly serviced, checked and maintained before we checked in. Breakfast was chaotic on the Saturday morning with no plates, no glasses for juice (and no juice) and 2 young ladies on duty who were walking around like rabbits in headlights. There were lots of other customers including some non english that seemed to be dispairing at the lack of service. When Sean, one of the managers arrived, he apologised, took control of the breakfast and dealt with the issues in our room. (most of them at least). He also said he would arrange for the cost of our breakfast to be refunded. This was very kind of him and unexpected, however, I subsequently had to call the hotel 3 times about the refund and did not receive it until 21st June, 3 weeks after we checked out, hence the gesture of goodwill became an annoyance and irritating On the plus side, Richard the breakfast chef was excellent, very friendly and chatty (although he was clearly under pressure on both mornings). He was also very aware of what items were gluten free and made sure to avoid cross contamination. Well done and thank you Richard, a stand out asset to the hotel.

Had a three night stay. Had a lovely welcome at reception by Ahmed. All staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble . Great breakfast. Good choice. Room clean. Comfortable bed. Would highly recommend . Easy to get to MK Stadium as I had a Convention there.
