Warkworth House Hotel

Visited the restaurant during our stay in Warkworth and the food and service were both first class. The choice was good, we had starters and main and both courses were delicious. The staff were lovely, the surroundings are well kept and tastefully done.

Stayed at the Hotel for one night over Easter. We booked a Superior Suite & were really impressed with the quality of the room & the little bits of attention to detail. Our dog Cooper was with us & he got spoilt too. He wolfed down his doggy treats as soon as he got in the room. The supply of bowls, treats, blanket & towel for him was very much appreciated. Lots of options for tea, water & coffee pods. Even supplying fresh milk a lovely touch. Nice big Towels that actually wrap right round you & dressing gowns supplied. Bed was really comfy & made for a lovely nights sleep. Quiet hotel, yes the church bells ring but quite quaint…. Sadly they’d stopped serving food for a short time during the Sunday afternoon & as we were starving ended up going to the Masons pub round the corner. Saw some of the meals coming out on the night & the food looked amazing. Would definitely recommend the Hotel for an overnight stay. We’ll definitely be back.

This hotel is a little gem. We didn't stay here but had a meal here on the Saturday and drinks on the Friday & Sunday. Second time we have been here for food and it definitely does NOT disappoint. Generous portions and top quality food. The staff are truly amazing and make you feel so welcome. In fact the staff make this place very special. A big shout out to Sharon who went above and beyond as always. We will deffo be back in summer!

Had a weekend away with Brother and Sister in law. We had 2 double rooms. They had stayed before but this was our first visit. Got the warmest of welcomes. The rooms were very comfortable and warm, well presented and immaculately clean. We dined out but breakfast was lovely. Most worthy of special praise were the two very helpful and friendly ladies on reception. As were all of the staff.

We had our Christmas fair there last night there was 11 of us. Food was lovely we even had an error with the starters which was our error but it was no problem to the staff! Would definitely recommend and would definitely book again lovely place can't believe that was our first visit!

The room was excellent so was the staff had a fantastic weekend will be back in the spring for another long weekend had lovely food and great walks and the pubs were two minutes away had a meal on the Friday evening which was lovely and a meal in the Masons pub on the Saturday which was great

We stayed for 2 nights on a Tuesday & Wednesday night. We were greeted by a really lovely & friendly lady, Sharon, who went above & beyond to be helpful (I dropped my jacket in a puddle and Sharon came to the rescue!) Our room was fabulous - it was on the front of the hotel & it was perfect in every way, with high quality bedding, towels & fabulous toiletries. We had dinner on the first night which was absolutely delicious there such a fabulous choice on the menu. Breakfast was fab & relaxing & again an amazing choice. Finally, all of the staff were so lovely and friendly, from reception staff to house keeping. Our only wish is that we wish we’d booked in for a longer stay! Thank you for a wonderful stay. I highly recommend & we’ll definitely be back next time we visit Northumberland.

Stayed for one night in room 4. Room was very well presented and clean. Lovely little touches for our dog too! Booked in for our evening meal and very glad we did. Food and service were exceptional. Lovely atmosphere in the lounge shared with some other dog lovers! Breakfast was equally good. All in all a fabulous stay and highly recommended. Our first visit to Warkworth but definitely won’t be our last. Special mention to the waiting staff and very friendly smiling receptionist. Excellent service provided by all. Thank you!

Went to dinner and took our Welsh Terrier dog along as the hotel is fodder friendly. Lots of other diners had the same idea but all the dogs were well behaved. Service was friendly and efficient. The dining room had a good ambience. We had the burger and the chicken/pancetta dish. Both were excellent. We also shared the sticky toffee which was also good. Would definitely return…
