Lovely venue and service is good with added staff for areas which are very busy.

Just a really poor excuse for a 5 star hotel. Would be better labeled a 3 star hotel with a few nice features. Firstly the rooms all smell really damp. We had one room that smelled like this, then we were given another and it smelled exactly the same. The room was also dirty, especially inside cuboards, and on top of the shelves. They also failed to clean our room every day we were there. We had to call reception each time we returned to the hotel as our room hadnt been cleaned. The food (we had breakfast and dinner at preggo) were both very poor. The breakfast was very limited and almost all badly cooked. The pizza in prego was some of the worst pizza I have ever tasted in a restaurant and cost over €40 for 2 pizzas and 2 drinks. They are also the only place I have been to in Sri Lanka that add tax to thier prices. So any price you see for food or drink, you must add 18% tax plus 10% service charge. There is also this 3% other fee that i have never seen before anywhere else that they put on all thier food and drinks. Such a cheap thing to do at a 5 star hotel. Have tax included in your price. Overall everything just felt so unprofessional, from the staff to the quality of everything on offer. I would advise anyone to look at other 5 star hotels in Colombo as you will not get a 5 star experience here

five star hotel with 0 service! 1. Got a call at mid-night and a man is moaning via phone. 2. Called the front desk before arrival and they hang up our phone by pretending forward the call 3. Got some emergency situation and wanna see if could cancel the booking, the hotel put us on hold more than 24 hours, ignoring nearly 10 ties followups, however they reply us within 30 minutes once my friend check-in. The hotel put our request on hold by using lame excuses like manager is on leave, manager is in meetings, manager need to get approval from upper level…. Understood if the booking can’t be cancelled, however, how they operate and react is definitely not meet a 5 star hotel standard.
