Lovely room, decorated with a French theme. Jacuzzi worked well but the shower came on unexpectedly at one point - must have pressed the wrong button. Dinner fine, a bit pricey for what it was I felt. Only issue was with the pillows on the bed. Too square and plump, ended up not using them.

My parent live close by and we wanted needed a place to stay. I grew up in this part of the Netherlands and appreciate the authenticity - the hotel is a farmhouse and barn that has been turned into a beautiful hotel. The receptionist was very welcoming. Ample parking on the property. Beautiful and spacious room with a build out that was used for my daughter extra bed, and had its own curtains, almost a small separate side room. The room has radiant floor heating and an air conditioner unit that also serves as additional heating in the wintertime. Comfortable king size bed, plenty of nice towels. Large - two person - soaking tub/ Jacuzzi. Breakfast was served in room because of local COVID measures, but the restaurant downstairs - in the renovated/ remodeled barn, was lovely, with Christmas tree/ decorations and a cozy atmosphere. The original house – front of the property is turned into a high-end restaurant, unfortunately closed because of COVID measures, we peaked in and it looked wonderful as well as the menu options. Breakfast, included in the room rate, has many options, including local specialty breads and pastries. WIFI worked well, fairly fast – Noticeable as many hotels it’s just mediocre speed. The room has a modest size LCD tv mounted across from the bed. There is a spa we did not use – no time unfortunately. Overall, a wonderful surprise is a less touristy part of the country. The owner told me they would close for the 1Q22 because of local COVID situation. After that, on my next trip to the Netherlands – I will be back for sure.

Prachtige locatie, historisch oude boerderij uit 1910 schitterend gerestaureerd. Sfeervol restaurant met mooie kaart en top keuken. Vriendelijke en attente bediening. Geslaagd dagje Groningen en Winschoten gehad en prima geslapen in dit mooie hotel.

Landgoed Westerlee is een prachtig hotel op en mooie locatie. De kamer die wij hadden was top, met een heerlijk 2 persoons bubbelbad. Het bed was overigens ook zeer fijn. Ik ben een slechte slaper maar het bed lag echt heerlijk en dat maken we wel eens anders mee. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
De ‘oprit’ was door de regen moeilijk begaanbaar en helaas wat minder goed verlicht. Gelukkig bracht de meegenomen zaklamp extra licht waardoor we geen natte voeten kregen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Vwb het ontbijt, deze was de eerste ochtend erg karig. Het beleg was bijna op en het duurde even voordat het werd aangevuld. De
T****e ochtend was het ontbijt overigens prima! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Qua diner was er geen keus. Er werd een verassingsmenu. Daarom hebben we beide avonden buiten de deur gegeten. ⭐️⭐️
Het personeel was aardig en hulpvaardig. Misschien wel een idee om al het personeel van representatieve kleding te voorzien. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Al met al hebben we een heerlijk weekend gehad 👍

Fantastisch hotel in the middke of nowhere maar op een half uur rijden van Groningen. Het is een prachtig verbouwde boerderij met 17 kamers. Onze kamer was erg mooi, luxe en we hebben erg genoten van ons verblijf. Het bad met bubbels was fantastisch en dat je dan uit kan kijken over de velden en de zon kan zien opkomen is erg mooi. Ontbijtbuffet was geweldig, alles wat wij wensten was aanwezig en het was uitstekend verzorgd. Het eten in de bistro is ook prima. Het hotel ziet er netjes uit, hangt vol met schilderijen van Maja Wildevuur. Wel jammer dat er dan zulke lullige prijskaartjes bijhangen. De kamers zijn trouwens wel erg gehorig. Waar wij echt niet blij mee waren was de ontvangst in het hotel. Een jongen van een jaar of 20 met een coltrui gaf ons de meest onwelkome ontvangst die we ooit hebben gehad ergens. Het overige personeel maakte dat ruimschoots goed.

We hebben hier een fijn verblijf gehad. De kamers waren ruim en goed. We hebben hier het diner en ontbijt gebruikt. Met name het viergangendiner was erg lekker. De bediening was hulpvaardig en vriendelijk.
