Dar Lys

I stayed in this hotel in March 2024. Mixed feelings: the hotel had several pros, but also a few cons. Pros: good location at the edge of the medina + if you have a car (which we did) there is ample, secure and free parking + rooms are really clean + good breakfast + very nice rooftop terrace & (small) pool. Cons: somehow this hotel has a need to play music from early in the morning to 22:30-ish. Music taste is subjective and if you are into Glenn Medeiros and like cheesy Scorpion versions you may like it, but for most it is not great + as it is on all day it is hard to relax in your room during the day. Then: staff start moving around at 7 AM with little regard for customers + as apparently there is no storage room all stuff (vacuum cleaners, extra chairs and pillows etc) is stored in the hall + staff is friendly but no more than that - a high level of indifference and there is no heart in it. This hotel has the ingredients to stand out, but it lacks the fine touches to really lift it up. Please stop the music, store equipment in a separate room and, most importantly, if the staff truly cared this would be a great stay. As it is, the price is too high: this hotel is NOT worth €175 p/n.For this price I would expect a truly caring staff which is not the case today. Simon.

Riad superbe! Personnel adorable et aux petits soins. Les chambres sont propres et décorées avec goût, tout confort et très bien équipées. Piscine sur le toit avec vue panoramique sur la médina. Petit déjeuner copieux, service restauration et Spa très agréable.

Great modern hotel on the edge of the medina in Fes. Wonderful breakfast and staff were friendly. The background music was sometimes a bit too loud, but they turned it down when asked. Great location for accessing the medina and also the gardens in Fes

Dar Lys Riad is a scam!!! A hotel pretending to be luxurious that doesn't allow its guests to choose the room temperature, and has a front desk employee who argues with you. We're sleeping with windows open, breathing in smoke-filled air, and hearing every step on the street because we can't close the windows BECAUSE the air conditioning is central, a SHAME!!! Unable to sleep, staff passing by with garbage cans!!! Luxury Riad??? Joke!!! I won't recommend it to anyone and will do my best to show the truth about this place!!! Stay at Riad Fès but don't stay at this Dar Lys!!! Extremely dissatisfied and disappointed!!!

Best trip ever to fez, staying at Riad Lys was one of the best decision i've ever took , Front desk team is so friendly and Doha was so helpful and welcoming . The rooms were so clean and spacious too. Thank you all !

What’s good - very hospitable staff - the property is done very well, all the amenities are top class - the place has a wonderful hamaam and a spa. The therapist was really good - there are limited food items on the menu but the food is good - the place is on the edge of Medina with one side opening into the medina. What wasn’t good - the classic rooms are very small and do not have a window. Can feel claustrophobic - breakfast is average, our egg preparations were sub-par

What a beautiful Riad in Fes! The manager welcomed us with tea and snacks and then I had time to explore! Great location yet the noise of the city didn’t reach us. Beautiful Riad, exquisitely decorated , spacious rooms with very comfortable beds , all the amenities available, delicious food , very clean , very attentive and friendly staff, I loved having my cappuccino in the garden and talking to the women and men who made this a wonderful experience! Thank you!

Very grateful for our incredible two-night stay at this phenomenal property. Lots of places throw the word “luxury” into their name, but very few live up to that label. Dar Lys Luxury Riad and Spa, however, truly embodies its full name. From the peerless front desk staff (Hamza!) through the Chef and exquisite cuisine, to the fantastic Spa staff, EVERY member of staff was courteous, smiled constantly, and went to great lengths to satisfy us. Of particular note, we greatly appreciated the easy parking access, their elevator, and our incredible couple’s Hammam and massage at the Spa. Our top-notch personal guide and driver for our Moroccan odyssey, (Oualid with Shiny Days Morocco), booked us here to maximize our Fez discovery. He did not disappoint, nor did the Dar Lys. Top marks to General Manager Amine K. and his Dar Lys family. Book now!

Five Star experience. Lovely amenities and lovely rooms. Staff is attentive and welcoming. The breakfast is more than ample and the food is fresh. The restaurant has wonderful dinner options. The CousCous and Pastilla are great options. Get the Moroccan salad, plenty for 2 people. The Haman is outstanding and the staff are extremely professional. Get the Royal Moroccan a Haman with an Oriental Massage. It was a great value. One of the best massages I’ve had in a long time. Come to Fes and stay here.
