I made a hotel booking on Trip.com to spend a night l in a chosen area. And picked orange hotel. I checked in around 20h40.
At around midnight, almost sleeping, the room phone didn't stop ringing, and the person speaking doesn't speak English, so I couldn't understand what's going on.
Over midnight, I went down to reception, and with the help of another hotel customer as tranlator, I was explained that I should check out and leave the hotel immediately and that my booking is made from 16h00 to 20h00 or pay extra amount to spend the night, which I was obligated to do at over midnight.
If my booking was over after 20h00, why did they accept my check-in after 20h40 ?
In my booking search, I checked the checkin and checkout date enough time to spend one night, so 2 different days?
Tried to reach the booking platform trip.com by phone, but it was just an automatic replay and useless.
I am really disappointed, and I found the hotel's advertisements on the booking platform trip.com misleading and just unacceptable.
I don't know who holds the responsibility of what happened, the hotel, or the platform trip.com ? but it is misleading and unacceptable, and both share the responsibility.
