Very convenient location if you’re not traveling with personal car. The free public bus stop within Wutaishan tourism area is just in front of the hotel entrance. Many restaurants around for tourists. However, we don’t find the hotel is the best choice for the price we pay and there are many options available in the same area.

I have been coming to Mount Wutai for more than ten years. After being satisfied with my stay last year, I stayed at Yunfeng again this year. Although it is an old hotel, the facilities have not fallen into disrepair due to age, and the suite I booked is very cost-effective. The station is right at the door, making it easy to get in and out. The room manager is eager to help with any issues you need. Will recommend more friends to stay here.

Friendly service. The girl with a long ponytail at the reception is very efficient and helpful, she is not afraid of the language barrier. The hotel is in a great location. Bus 8 has stops in front of the hotel. To the city center, there is a stop on the opposite side of the street. There are three stops to the long-distance bus station from the hotel, and 6 to the center. Free public transport. Bus no. 8 runs literally every 2 minutes. If you arrive by bus from Datong, ask the driver to stop in front of the hotel. You will save time by not going to the station and going back from the station to the hotel. There is a shop next to the hotel on the left side from the entrance. More shops and restaurants can be found 1 stop on bus 8 towards the center.

The lady at the front desk took the initiative to help plan the itinerary and kindly reminded us to put on more clothes as the temperature difference on the mountain is large. There are many varieties of breakfast, and the waiter also cooks noodles for you. When we checked out, they found out that we were in a hurry to catch the bus, and helped us contact a direct bus to the scenic spot.
