LANOU Hotel (Wuxi Anzhen High-speed Rail East Station)

Good location for visiting nearby factories. Plenty of excellent local food outlets close by at good prices. Only 30 minutes by car to the airport. Subway isn’t close by but a 15 rmb ride gets you to the nearest station, which is also the High Speed Train station (Wuxi East). Room is a very good size, clean and with good facilities. Bed was large and comfortable. Front desk staff were efficient and friendly. Housekeeping was very good. Overall - good value for money, and I would return again.

I think the hotel is ok, internet was ok and rooms ok for China, the best is the breakfast. About no smoking rule they should be more strict instead of stimulation with ash trays and being complacent as most of hotels. It''s 2025, time to be civilized, and allowing guests to smoke in the breakfast, rooms and reception is absolutely unacceptable. I understand people in China smoke like last day of their lifes, but this it not normal for me, smoking is considered dirty, a weakness and bad habit in my country. I recommend the hotel to be more strict on smoking rules, a problem that every accomodation has in China, also due the lack of respect for its Chinese guests, and also they could improve the laundry area, not enough for the whole hotel and not really clean. I believe if everyone demands hotels in China to be strict about smoking 🚬 rules eventually China will evolve and adapt, then people that don't smoke wont be forced to be passive smoke and stuff health issues.
