"Traveling to Wuxi with kids, our top choice was Junlai Hotel Hubin. The hotel offers a dedicated ferry service directly to Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, and it's conveniently located right next to Liyuan Garden and Lihu Park. Plus, it's very close to the subway station, which is a huge plus. Our room was clean, tidy, and comfortable, with excellent facilities. The balcony offered beautiful views of Lihu Lake. The breakfast buffet was rich and diverse, and the staff were all very polite and provided attentive service. Five-star rating!"

"Facilities: The overall facilities in the room are quite new; it doesn't feel like an old hotel. The bathroom has a separate sliding door and is separated from the bed by a wall, which provides good sound insulation and privacy. There's a full-length mirror. The hairdryer is very powerful. Service: During the May Day holiday, they offered a short fireworks display in the evening, which was very impressive and significantly enhanced our stay. The greeters at the main entrance were very welcoming and helpful with our luggage, which was a thoughtful touch. Breakfast was a buffet with a rich variety of dishes. Environment: The hotel's public areas are very beautiful and upscale. There are also accompanying dining options, which is convenient. The front desk mentioned that Jichangxuan (a restaurant) requires guests to queue in person, but it would be better if in-house guests could make phone reservations. Drawbacks: ① The shower water temperature fluctuated between hot and cold. While it didn't cause a major issue, it was definitely present. ② The room doors are quite heavy, and opening and closing them makes a loud noise, so you can hear other rooms' doors. ③ The disposable slippers were of average quality, with thin soles that weren't non-slip. Every time I stepped onto the small ledge in the bathroom, it was uncomfortable."

"The location is fantastic, super close to Nanchang Street, and surrounded by local snacks. The hotel is right on the street, so transportation is incredibly convenient. A special thanks to小姐姐 (Miss) #23 at the front desk – she was so enthusiastic and helped us solve so many problems. When we checked out, she even thoughtfully gave us a small parting gift. Thank you so much! Wuxi is great, and I look forward to visiting again!"

"I recently stayed at the Grand Kingtown hotel in Wuxi and had a mixed experience. The location is quite convenient if you’re planning to visit Yuantouzhu (the famous Sakura Park), which is a big plus during cherry blossom season. However, it is relatively far from other main attractions, so getting around can take some time. The lobby staff were very friendly and welcoming, which I truly appreciated after a long day of traveling. That said, the hotel itself feels quite dated. You can tell it has seen better years, and there seems to be a lack of proper maintenance. The overall cleanliness was acceptable, but not impressive. For example, I noticed trash left near the elevators for an entire day without being cleared. The breakfast was okay, but very repetitive, with the same options offered every day. I also had a couple of issues with housekeeping. One of my towels was removed without explanation, and at one point, a pillow was left on the floor, which made the service feel careless. Overall, it’s a decent option if your priority is proximity to the Sakura park, but it could really benefit from updates and more attention to detail in maintenance and housekeeping."

"I absolutely *have* to give a shout-out to Songpin Hotel! This is seriously an underrated gem. The hotel's environment and scenery are breathtaking; the entire place feels like a serene Jiangnan garden – so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a getaway. We stayed in a standalone villa, and the room was incredibly spacious, fully equipped, and supremely comfortable. With kids, they could easily spend the whole day playing in the room without getting bored. A special commendation goes to the hotel's service. Every single staff member was so friendly and enthusiastic, making us feel right at home. Next time we're in the area, we'll definitely choose to stay here again! (We originally planned to stay for just one day, but as soon as we entered the room, we immediately extended our stay for two more days!)"

"My friends often stay at their place, and they've always impressed me in every way. They're always quick to resolve any issues. The noodles and wontons for breakfast are delicious; the noodles are specially ordered, and the auntie said a bowl of Fu Fu noodles tastes just like childhood! The rooms are simply yet elegantly decorated and comfortable, very clean, and the front desk staff are all very welcoming and friendly—it feels like coming home. Whenever I'm in Wuxi, I always stay at their place. The key is that it's truly comfortable and spacious. The washer-dryer combo in the room is very powerful, the same model as Atour, washing and drying quickly; I can have dry clothes in just an hour, which is very convenient."

The hotel is standard, OK."
