Jet2 need to go into these apartments and justify how these are safe. Travelled with a 16 month old baby so a travel cot was provided, and was the only thing that was safe. Had to boil the kettle on the floor because that was the only plug socket in the kitchen area. Plug socket next to bed hanging loose of wall. Had to move cot every time you wanted into the wardrobe then climb over the bottom of the bed. Couldn't even use the dressing table because the bed had been pushed up against it so the cot could fit in. Bathroom a total disgrace with water coming up from the drain. And the biggest rip off air conditioning at €12 a night. This certainly wasnt the cheapest apartment when we booked but after a 2 week stay we certainly wished we had booked somewhere else.

Me and the Hubby had a great time, stayed in room 107. In a great location. As people have said, bathroom gets a bit wet.. move the toilet roll, take an old towel to stand on, only an issue if you make it one… the actual shower was really powerful and always got hot water so it was fine! Didn’t use cooking facilities as always ate out.. bar area great for eating and drinking, reasonable prices. Helen in the bar was lovely… so we’re the 2 sisters who own it, always happy to see you and helpful. Pool area great. Never had to fight for a bed! Shop next door open til late and very handy. Cannot wait to go back!

Even thou this hotel is 2 star the people who work there are Definately 5 star. The pool and the outside space are lovely but the room is only 2 star. They are very basic but perfectly clean, let down by the bathroom and the facilities for cooking, these need to be updated. I feel that the air con should not be charged extra for as it is necessary. Saying all that will definitely stay again but only for a few days

If you are thinking of booking this hotel for a quiet holiday please don't waste your money. I can only describe this hotel and the type of people that stay there as what you would expect in Benidorm & Magaluf! The music is so loud after 11pm still outside which in other greek islands it stops after 11pm. The noise volume on other peoples balconies is inconsiderate to other guests in the hotel, the reception closes at 10pm so you are unable to tell a member of staff to speak to the guests about the noise. The pool area is so crammed we sunbathed twice there in two weeks as it was awful! We was so lucky that just round the corner we found the most quiet and gorgeous hotel called Vickys Gardens & you are allowed to sunbathe free of charge on their sunbeds. The pool is fabulous, the music is a suitable volume, the food was lovely and it really saved our holiday, if they had availabilty we would have checked out of Sofias and checked into there. Also you have to pay for aircon and the safe, the towels was changed twice in two weeks it was awful, really don't waste your money on this hotel. The best part of this hotel was checking out to go home.

Firstly we are not serial complainers . We know we booked a basic hotel but there’s basic then there’s very very basic ! I’ll start with the positives . The hotel grounds are very nice , the bar area serves good food, the drinks are fairly priced and the staff were friendly and worked hard . The problem with this hotel is the rooms . We read a few reviews before we stayed at this hotel and they were spot on with their criticism of the shower/ towels / cooking facilities . It’s described as a self catering accommodation . You get minimum cutlery/ dishes etc and there’s no where to prepare any food . The fridge top is all that’s available You get a kettle and a fridge in the room and that’s it . There’s no bin . The shower room is frankly both disgusting and dangerous . There’s no shower hook or curtain . We had to tie the shower head to the window with a shoe lace and an old bum bag ! If you take a shower you must remove all toilet rolls or they will get soaked . The floor gets absolutely flooded, doesn’t drain properly and is wet for ages . Now for the towels! Don’t expect fluffy ! The towels I use on my dogs are better . I was shocked by the state of them , holes , raggy and they were supposed to be changed every 3 days . They were changed once in the week we stayed . Considering most people would be showering frequently what with the heat and the amount of suncream you use, I’d say it’s unhygienic to use the same towel for days . Oh there was also mould in the wardrobe . Did we bother to complain ? No, because having read some of the reviews we realised that the same problems have been mentioned before and clearly nothing has been done to address them . Just wonder if jet 2 ever actually inspect the rooms ?

If you want a chilled out holiday in a perfect location this is the place for you. The rooms are basic and typically Greek but are nice and clean. I've seen some people comment that the kitchen facilities weren't adequate but we don't go away to cook so this didn't bother us. We only use the room to get changed in and to sleep so we had everything we needed. The air con was a life saver so I would recommend getting it! We loved the fact the complex wasn't overly busy and had a lovely chilled atmosphere. We were a party of 6 and never had a problem with getting sunbeds (my husband loved the fact he didnt have to get up early to put towels out!) & even throughout the day there were still plenty available. The food and drinks available were great. Staff were so lovely and friendly. Location was ideal. Located towards the end of the main ***** meant it was quiet at night but turn right and it was only a 5 min walk down to all the bars and restaurants (which were amazing)and turn left and you were near the old road which also had some great restaurants and bars. We are already planning our return!

Wow what an amazing stay we have had at Sofias. I must say everything was perfect. We were greated with a warm welcome, the room was spacious and we had a super view of the mountains (room 211). As mentioned in precious reviews there was no shower curtain or hook for the showwr head but i found this to work really well, from past experiences shower curtains get stuck to you which isnt pleasant or hygienic, the shower head can be placed in front of you on the taps, placed in the shower tray or turned off inbetween shampooing etc, you soon get used to it and realise it works well. We went in search for sunbeds at several different times during the day and there were always lots to choose from and the background music played around the pool and bar was a really good nice mix of modern and older songs, we loved guessing the artist and song. Sofias chill out bar is great, the staff are so friendly and hospitable, food was amazing too. Everywhere at the complex was very clean, including pool toilets, rooms were cleaned everyday, fresh bedding and towels halfway through our week. Apologies I can't remember the names of the 2 sisters that run the hotel but they were so accommodating and welcoming, asking us several times if everything was OK, during our stay we needed more hangers and an extra key which was no trouble at all, there was also an issue with one of the guests which was acted on immediately and resolved. Weve been coming to kalamaki for several years (previously stayed at venus, marelen and kalamaki beach, all very nice) and Sofias has been our favourite accomodation by far, we will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Had a lovely stay at Sophias, location was perfect for me as I wanted to be near the old road but also not too far from the *****, both a few minutes walk. Rooms are basic but had a kettle and hob which was all i needed. Shower was hand held so anyone with mobility issues may struggle unless they have an adapted room. Very clean, beds made daily. Lovely staff and nice food at the bar 15 mins walk to the beach Supermarket next door Favourite places for me.... Melon Bar for a nice cocktail and Claude makes you feel very welcome Antonios Bar, great pool spent most days here as pool was quieter and enjoyed entertainment there on a couple of evenings Bullhorn for Steak Daphnes for authentic food Pathaneasia for an amazing Greek night, lovely food and the staff go all put to entertain you Must do's.... Back to the roots trip with Nefis, collect from your hotel Turtle Island Trip, i got a glimpse of a turtle but sometimes you see more Fun train to Zante Town Walk the beach to Cameo Island and past the craziness of Laganus
