Guizhou's wild heart and gentle soul are perfectly captured within this Chishui Danxia region.
My very first stop on this trip, and I unexpectedly fulfilled a small wish I had for 2025! I checked into Arro Khampa by J&L Hotels!
Nestled in Zunyi's mystical Chishui Danxia region, it’s a genuinely unique cave and waterfall hotel.
The 25 rooms, transformed from 11 century-old traditional homes, are divided into the 'Cave Zone' and 'Bamboo Whisper Zone'. Its 50-meter transparent swimming pool directly overlooks twin waterfalls! Leaning by the pool's edge, you can practically feel the mist. During afternoon tea, clouds and mist drift through the bamboo canopies. The scenery is so breathtaking, it truly needs no filter.
The cave lobby glows with flickering candlelight 🔥. A 100-meter deep corridor conceals a fire pit bar. A meditation room is tucked behind stalactites... It feels like stumbling into a secret chamber from an adventure novel. The designers have truly outdone themselves, creatively blending Danxia stone and glass to stunning effect.
The service was exceptional, with thoughtful touches evident in every small detail ❤️. They even provided complimentary tickets to the ancient town 🎫. A huge thank you to J&L Hotels for a truly romantic Qixi Festival.

MM600068****For this 5.1 family trip, after comparing online, we chose Kaiyuan Mingdu Lake View Room in Zunyi. Kaiyuan's service is warm and thoughtful, which makes people feel warm and considerate. At the same time, its hotel environment and facilities are very good. Opposite is Swan Lake Park. The elegant environment is very suitable for strolling in the afterglow of the sunset. At the same time, the hotel's seafood buffet is worth recommending, and the breakfast is also very rich and delicious. Next time I come to Zunyi, I will choose to stay here. 👍👍👍👍

Environment: The environment of the hotel itself is very good and beautiful. However, the location is relatively remote and there is not much to eat around. However, you can dine in the hotel. Although it is expensive, the taste is very good.
Service: The hotel's service is a deducted item. In addition to the good room service, the waiters in the restaurant are very unprofessional. They don't know how to take away the extra tableware after the guests are served. They are in a hurry when serving the food. The hot spring department is even worse. The deducted item is that they did not provide clean towels and said they would charge additional money. This is simply unbelievable.
The hotel's breakfast is very good and rich in variety.

Vvicki****This is a completely unexpectedly satisfying hotel. The hotel is built in a scenic area and covers a very large area. There are large lawns and vast forests everywhere. Most importantly, it is pet-friendly. Every staff member is especially kind to puppies. The staff members look like they have been trained in a luxury resort hotel. They have both good eyes and a sense of boundaries. It is hard to imagine that a hotel in Zunyi can have such service. The beef in sour soup that comes with the hotel set meal is also very delicious. All in all, this hotel is really a treasure hotel that people want to visit again.

MM8016****The location of the hotel is very convenient. It is right on the roadside. Behind it is the square. It was great to watch the brilliant fireworks during the New Year. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is very rich. The hotel customer service staff is very enthusiastic and it feels like home. I will stay here again next time I pass by.

2. Hotel was very clean with no odour at all.
3. Service was excellent by the reception who stands up to greet us. Door man was also very helpful showing us the directions.
4. Breakfast buffet has a good variety though not every dish is delicious. However, the restaurant views made up for any shortcomings.

GGuest UserThe room is clean, the breakfast is rich, and the service is super good. It is super convenient to park the car at the hotel and go to several check-in spots around. Two ice cream scoops are also given. The nearby Zhang Laoliu Lamb Restaurant is highly recommended. I want a double-flavored hotpot. It is really conveniently located and has good service. I am very happy to stay here. Although the hotel is still being upgraded and renovated, it has little impact on me anyway. You should consider it yourself if you have extremely high requirements.

GGuest UserTraveling to Chishui, I chose this hotel from Ctrip. The hotel environment is very good, clean and hygienic, the breakfast is rich in variety, the sound insulation is good, and there are free fruits and snacks every day. The surrounding transportation is convenient. The through trains and buses to the scenic spots pass by the hotel entrance, which is very convenient. The beautiful receptionist Xiao Wu at the front desk is attentive and enthusiastic. She actively solves problems for guests and even upgraded the room type for free. Stayed for three days and had a great experience.

FFanjian.SWe checked in at the service center located at the village entrance. Private cars are not allowed into the scenic area and must be parked in the open-air lot at the entrance. Listing your license plate number on the check-in form waives the parking fee. The staff at check-in were friendly, smiling, and explained everything patiently. You get unlimited free shuttle rides by showing your check-in slip or room key (note: you'll need to take the shuttle to the hotel's front desk first to exchange your check-in slip for the room key). Staff were also proactive in helping with our luggage.
We arrived at the hotel at 11 AM and were able to check in immediately as a room was available. Although the room was smaller than expected, it was nicely decorated, cozy, clean, and tidy. Interestingly, the power switches were located inside a drawer. The hotel provided a complimentary children's breakfast. The breakfast restaurant was spacious and comfortable, with a rich variety of options. We were very satisfied (regrettably, I didn't have my phone to take pictures).
The hotel is only a few minutes' drive from the main scenic area, or a pleasant walk if you're up for it. The village has plenty of dining choices. During the day, the main scenic area offers activities like paper painting, batik, and lantern making, as well as a unique bamboo pole drifting performance. In the evenings, there's a lighting ceremony and a drone show, making for a truly stunning night view.
Areas for improvement: The elevators were quite slow, requiring long waits. The room's light switch design was also inconvenient; there were no individual bedside lamp switches, meaning it was either all lights on or half the lights on, which isn't very user-friendly.

The water is being changed every day, and in the morning I went to see that the pool was empty. After watching others change the water, we went in and took a dip. It was very clean. like.
