The Ambassador is a newly renovated hotel just off the lake in Zurich. Old town and shopping just minutes away. Train station and tour busses a 30-minute walk Staff was very friendly and the room was very comfortable and clean. WiFi didn't work but got a passcode for the business WiFi instead. Television also had some issues (kept rebooting). But, we chalk that up to a new place. Everything else was great!

Super location with great staff— Isabella, reception/clerk, was extremely helpful during our late May check in and set the tone for two days of sightseeing trams. She thoroughly mapped tram lines and attractions—- thank you. Hotel was super clean, responsive staff, tasty cuisine, etc. Also a next door Italian restaurant was good.

Yes, the location of this hotel was great and it was easy to get everywhere I needed to, but what I really loved about this hotel was the bedding. Many hotels have awful, scratchy sheets, but not this one. The fitted sheet and duvet cover were so soft and made me feel like I was back at home and the bed itself was the best I slept in my entire trip. The towels in the bathroom were fluffy and soft and smelled freshly washed. While my room was on the smaller side, the bathroom was quite large. I liked having a Nespresso machine in the room and the chocolates that they left in the room the first night. I only had breakfast once in the hotel and it was not great. I ordered the french toast and there appeared to be no bread on the plate, was a small portion and I was still hungry afterwards. The other mornings I was in town I ate at nearby restaurants: John Baker and Babu's Bakery and Coffeehouse which were delicious!

The restaurant Silk is a hidden gem. We ended by chance in the restaurant and were surprised by the quality of the presentation and food - we had a mixed salad with beef and a dorade - dekicious. The staff is friendly and very supportive. We will go again, this time because it is worth a revisit.

The Ambassador Hotel is an amazing place to stay in Zurich. The building is historic and charming. Very nice spot. The rooms are excellent. Very clean and comfortable. The service is so good. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks here were amazing.

first time in the silk restaurant-and also the last time...my sons vegan curry didn't taste like curry and there where only a few lentils...the vitello had hardly any tonnato...my soup was more a paste and had no flavour at all; my sons cesar salad had no pamesancheese, the sauce was missing and the ratio between lettuce and chicken wasn't balanced...the entrecote café de paris was a childs cut...and had very little cafe de paris on it...not a place i would invite someone in
