Introduction Cherry Blossom Viewing in Toronto

Introduction
Some information may have been translated by Google Translate

Spring is cherry blossom season in Toronto, and the city has more than one place to see these magnificent flowers. From the bustling High Park to the quiet Toronto Island Park, from the artistic scene at Trinity Bellwoods Park to the natural landscapes at Edwards Gardens, the brilliant corners of cherry blossoms can be found in every corner of the city.

High Park is one of the most famous cherry blossom viewing spots in Toronto. Every year, from late April to early May, flowers here are in full bloom, turning the mountains into dreamy patches of pink. The park has hundreds of cherry trees, many of which are of Somei Yoshino variety that are donated by Japan. The flowering period of this variety may be short, but its beauty is simply breathtaking. Take a stroll under the cherry trees and embrace the romantic petal shower. You can have a picnic here or take part in the many outdoor activities that the park offers.

Toronto Island Park presents a perfect escape from the hectic city life. Although the island does not have that many cherry blossom trees, the quiet setting here makes it perfect for a stroll. Reachable by ferry from the downtown, the island's cherry trees are mostly concentrated around the William Meazy Maze, which is a great choice for a family outing.

Trinity Bellwoods Park is a quiet oasis at the heart of Downtown Toronto. The park has around 70 cherry trees, which are scattered around the southeast corner of Trinity Circle, lending their colors to the surrounding historical buildings and the laid-back ambiance of the place. Not only is this a good place to watch the cherry blossoms bloom, but it also presents the unique charm of Queen West.

Woodbine Park is a popular park in east Toronto that features large swathes of green space and dozens of cherry blossom trees. Here, you can appreciate the flowers while enjoying outdoor sports or a picnic, and feel the comfort of spring.

Edwards Gardens is part of the Toronto Botanical Gardens. Although there are not many cherry blossom trees here, they come together with the other spring flowers to create unique sceneries. With its creek and wild ducks, the place is a paradise for nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.

Rosedale Park is known for its serene setting and beautiful cherry blossoms. The cherry trees here are mostly found along the paths in the park, which offer great options for visitors to enjoy a stroll and the tranquility of the season.

CNE Grounds is located on the lakeside and the cherry trees here are mostly found along the lakeshore. With the CN Tower in the backdrop, this is where the urban landscape and beautiful flowers meet. You can enjoy the blooming cherry blossoms while experiencing the charm of the city.

My last trip was only 24 hours and it was rather dreary weather. Luckily it didn’t actually rain until the end of the day so I was able to wonder around and see some stuff. I’d recommend the water front and graffiti alley and if you are a walker you will find plenty in between. The day I was there was way too foggy for the CN tower but I’ve been on a previous trip, not something I would do every trip but if you have a good day it’s fun, any observation deck is. It’s a great city for street art. The distillery district is a great start, get a drink or lunch in the area too, but as you are walking around the city keep your eyes open and there is plenty of art around the city. #toronto #canada

In 1904, the Parisian Laundry Building was used for servicing restaurant linens. In 2021, it now hosts VELA, a hospitality experience whose sinuous lighting and magnetic aura attracts patrons from the street. Designed by Toronto-based architecture studio PARTISANS, in collaboration with owners and restaurant industry luminaries Amanda Bradley and Robin Goodfellow, the restaurant pays homage to a bygone era of grand hotel lobbies and gilded bars. The Classical detailing of the early 20th-century warehouse facade is juxtaposed against an organic interior that invites patrons to sit at the helm of Toronto’s contemporary dining culture. The 6,000-square-foot venue is divided to allocate 4,000-square-feet for indoor use and 2,000 for a covered patio. #themepark#zoo#nationalpark#lakes#beaches

Fir Valley Woods & Gus Harris Trail 🇨🇦

Fir Valley Woods is just very near our place. It was Saturday and it's time for me again to relax from the busy, busy life of being a student. It's time for me to visit mother nature once again. I went in the woods and found very beautiful and colorful trees. I can't help but take pictures and videos while I am in the place. I was also surprised when I saw a tent and a homeless woman living in the woods. This place has a trail for people who like to bike, hike and jog. There is a small river near the place. The exit was the Gus Harris Trail. I just wish this place was well maintained by the government so lots of people will go to the place because it is very beautiful. #tripblazers #fallingforfall

We were having fun walking down CN Tower at downtown Toronto and we were so hungry and we had lunch at this amazing Italian Restaurant - Scaddabush. The staff are so so friendly and the girl who attended to is was so energetic and warm to us. We really enjoyed the appetizer (sliced tomatoes, avocado, bread and chees) so delicous. The carbonara was so so creamy. The pizza was also good. Try it out when you are downtown TO. #tripblazers #urbanexplorer
