Wushan County didn't appear in many reviews or tourist blogs, but it should!!! It's easy to get to on the fast train from Chongqing and there are taxi's available at the station and in the town's. First up we went on the tourist boat through the three gorges, it took just under 2 hours and the views were amazing. (I'd recommend a few cold bottles of water for the boat). The boat then arrives at Dachang ancient town, where you can get tasty local treats and relax by the water. The tourist boat returns quite quickly (15/20 mins). We managed to take the locals boat back to Wushan as we wanted to explore a bit longer. Once back in Wushan town, there are so many choices, you can head to the mountain side temples, pagodas at the top of the peaks or grab a barrel of Pina colada, at what appeared to be the only non-ktv bar around. We opted for the mountain top pagoda for sunset and a barrel of coconut cocktail 🍹
