🌟 Bath's Luxe Getaway: Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa 🌟

🛌 Looking for a posh weekend retreat in Bath? Let's chat about the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa! Nestled in a premium location, this spot promises a blend of luxury and history. But, let's keep it real – not all that glitters is gold. 🔍 The deluxe double room might not live up to the hype for the price tag. Think servant's quarters from yesteryears rather than a regal retreat – creaky floors, dated decor, and a less-than-stellar view. And that unexpected spa maintenance? A bit of a letdown for those dreaming of a pampering sesh. 🍳 On the bright side, the package feels inclusive with access to the spa pool, gym, and a hearty English breakfast that'll start your day off right. Plus, a basic buffet for those who want to keep it light. 📍Before you pack those bags, ponder on what you're after. If it's a mix of convenience and comfort with a touch of grandeur (and you're not too fussed about the finer details), the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa at 16 Royal Cres, Bath, might just be your cup of tea. #Bath #BathHotel #BathTravel

A glimpse of the well-reserved Roman Baths

A glimpse of the well-reserved Roman Baths

Getting There - we booked a day tour to Bath from London Attractions - The place is located in the city of Bath, Somerset, England. It gives a glimpse of history about how Roman bath was constructed and its development. Walking through the site, you can see the display of the past urban development in this area. How the Roman passed through and designed the bathing house in England. It’s amazing that the whole site dated around 70AD, yet, it’s so well-preserved. Standing there at the Sacred Spring, one definitely can’t help but feel how great human mind was to create such a magnificent complex. At the end of the tour, you can also taste the hot spring’s water.

Pulteney Bridge

One of the most recognizable pieces of architecture in Bath, Pulteney Bridge is one of only a handful of bridges still standing with buildings atop them. Completed in 1774 to connect central Bath to undeveloped land on the opposite side of the River Avon, it's considered one of the most iconic such bridges in the world. It even played a starring role in the film version of Les Misérables). Three arches support a variety of quaint little shops and restaurants, and the bridge opens onto Great Pulteney Street, with its beautiful Georgian-era homes. The bridge also acts as the departure point for a variety of fun river excursions. #culturalattractions

Famous bridge @ Bath

Old bridge specially designed for Pulteney family in UK. Although it has been rebuilt, design remain same. It's very calming to see the current flows even though that came from the River Avon. I stayed here quite long to enjoy beautiful view and surrounding area. The trees are green despite of cold season before winter approach. I had to wear 2 clothes and 1 jacket to keep me warm. It wasn't as good as the pictures you can find on internet, but still a nice place to hang around. Less crowd because people will go to the Roman bath -literally bath- side instead of stopping by here. #createwithtrip #exploreuk #unitedkingdom #europe #bath #exploreeurope #discovereurope #urbanexplorer

Bath

The city of Bath is one of the most popular tourist cities in the UK, about 3.5 hours from London by bus. The location is also close to Stonehenge (one of the most popular places in England in the form of large piles of ancient stones). Usually the tourists will take a package trip from London to Bath and then to Stonehenge. The trip to the city of Bath is arguably one of my most memorable travel experiences in England, because this city is so beautiful. In the City of Bath I also found a place that is said to be very frequented by fans of Jane Austin's novels. For those of you who know the name of Jane Austin, the City of Bath was the location for the stories of several of the novels she wrote. There are two of the most famous architectural figures in Bath, namely John Wood Sr. and his son John Wood Jr. They became important figures behind several historic buildings in the City of Bath. One of them is the Royal Crecent (the shape of the building is like a crescent moon), an upscale apartment that is still used by the elite in England. The gardens in Bath are also a must-see. The reason is that there are many art objects such as statues that we can enjoy while taking photos. The best time to go around Bath City is 9am in the bright sun. In England if we choose the wrong day, a very beautiful place will lose its charisma if the weather is not favorable. #bestislandtraveltowns

SPA option @ Bath

Bath is famous because of the Roman bath area where ancient people used to take a bath at. Here, there's option for us to experience ourself in the spa. However, the spa package is super expensive for us to just dip in hot/warm pool. There are many counters from tour agencies which offer guided tour and such experience or package. Different agency has their own price and packages. However, price is just slightly different. It doesn't worth to spend on such experience because you can get it elsewhere not in UK and would take quite a long time to enjoy the spa; so rather than getting it, we chose to just go ahead and explore around. #createwithtrip #bath #roman #exploreuk #unitedkingdom #spa #experience #urbanexplorer
