Cizhong Village is located in the Lancang River Gorge, surrounded by mountains and water, beautiful and quiet. 🚗Transportation: Self-driving is recommended. [One]Bus: There are buses from Deqin to Cizhong Bridge, which take about 1.5 hours. Cizhong Village is located on the road above Cizhong Bridge, with a small shop by the bridge. The roads in the village are relatively good, and you can find the church on foot. [Two]Self-driving: Self-driving is relatively convenient. Cizhong Catholic Church is usually a stop on the itinerary, where you can enjoy the scenery along the way and visit the church. 👍️Must-see attractions: [One]Main church building: The church faces east, with a combination of Chinese and Western architectural styles. Such a beautiful hotel and homestay!

From the day before check-in to departure, the overall service of Jixiashan · Meili made me very satisfied. The day before check-in, customer service will add WeChat and pull into a group. There are two staff members in the group who respond at any time. Before arrival, customer service reminded us that there will be wine tasting and snow mountain documentary activities on the 4th floor in the evening. They will also ask us about our arrival time and whether we need dinner. After arriving at the store, the staff member Zhang Jiacheng (I asked for his name specifically! Praise him!) explained various information to us in detail when receiving us. Then he sent a text version to the group again. After entering the room, he will also kindly remind us that we can turn off the floor heating when we sleep at night to avoid too dry air. He then explained the paper version of the wifi information and 24-hour contact number again. The two nights at Jixiashan were also the most comfortable nights for me and my family on this trip (I was woken up at dawn in Songzan)

Yubeng | Hiker’s Paradise

If you are looking for a little off road experience and breathtaking views, visit Yubeng in Yunnan. I combined my trip to Yubeng with a visit to Shangrila as both are not too far from each other. There are only 2 ways you can access this small village nestled between mountains ranges. You hike in for 4-6 hours or take an off road Jeep for 20-30mins that takes you through winding paths through the mountains - can be tricky if you are the car sick type. I went in winter - can be quite cold if you are planning to hike and some of the hikes can be quite tough. You need ice crampons. Some of the easier routes are very well marked and harder ones are not. I would go again in spring/summer as I was told the views are completely different and the hiking trails are a little easier. Divided into Upper Yubeng (elevation: 3,228m) and Lower Yubeng (elevation: 3,054m), it's home to the kind-hearted Tibetan people. Here, you'll find breathtaking snow-capped mountains, lush primeval forests, picturesque meadows, and a rich Tibetan Buddhist culture.
